Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyGreat location close to convenience store and subway. Best value while still having your own private space. Slightly more space than a pod hotel but perfect for a solo traveler. Able to fit a large suitcase and carry on in the room

United KingdomNothing. We loved it.
Everything about this place was great. The room was the perfect size for us to sleep in, actually bigger than we anticipated. The showers and bathrooms were really good and well maintained. We slept really well here. The futons were comfy, and we had a nice quiet room at the end of a hallway. We wear earplugs to sleep anyway, but I would recommend them if traffic noise keeps you awake. They also stored our luggage for free for us at the end of the stay. It's also right by a subway stop and unbelievable value for money.

It's such a great spot easy to get to and around Kyoto. Heaps of eateries around subway just outside your door, and they let to leave your bags in the little locker up area. We loved our stay here

MoldovaVery nice hotel. Great location! Right near the metro station, and also 7-11. I had a double room that gave me some extra space and was nice. Good to know that the showers are not on the same level as the room (for most of them) but was not an issue for me. Would come again!

GermanyThe breakfast is in a restaurant next door and sadly wasn't very good The air in the rooms gets stuffy quickly and it wasn't possible to open the windows to let fresh air in.
Good location, directly next to gojo station The rooms are clean and comfortable, wifi connection is good and the toilets and showers are clean and spacious.

GermanyIt felt a bit lonely, you check in and out with a machine. During my stay I didn't see not one person working at the reception. They would clean at night and it can get really loud. I thought it's an alarm and got up but it was just the people cleaning and they had really loud vacuum cleaners.
The location is great. The facilities were nice and clean. The room had an under bed apartment, so I had enough space to open my luggage. The bed was comfortable.

NetherlandsThe bed was a bit hard if you're not used to it. And my chinese door neighbors were just pigs, if they used a toilet or a shower, no himan could come close to it either because they wouldn't clean after themselves. Toilet was covered in shit, shower hair everywhere.. this type of things
I like everything, facilities, location etc.

United StatesI wish they had conditioner. They had shampoo, but no conditioner.
I was surprised at how much I loved staying here. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night because we wanted to wake up early and explore Kyoto (we were staying in Osaka as our base location) so we decided to here for the night. The shower rooms were so nice and private. The room was relatively big too for a pocket room. It felt nice and spacious. Everything was very clean and modern. And they provide literally everything, from pajamas to toothbrushes.

ArgentinaOn the other hand, the bathroom (mostly the sink) can get a bit messy (with hair, toothpaste or water), but I guess that’s just luck.
I loved it, the room was perfect. I was a bit scared cause I tend to get claustrophobic and I didn’t know what i was getting myself into, but I felt perfect at every moment. The room has good ventilation and the fact that there’s a big window makes u feel free despite the small space. The staff was really nice all the time. The room has a space below to store lots of things. The showers are also perfect and the location really nice (I walked everyday to Teramachi/Nishiki area or took the train literally 5 meters away from the hotel to do any other plan)

JapanThe staff were a little brusque. There were no slippers left on my first night so I didn’t realise they had slippers you can use and I ended up buying my own pair at Uniqlo for wear within the building.
The property is in between the Kyoto Station & Kyoto downtown areas. It was generally clean & had a lot of amenities (e.g. room clothes & slippers). Your key card is required for the elevator, showers, toilets, and your room - so it’s quite secure.

RussiaThe rooms are really small if you take a single room for one person, a twin room for 2 etc. That's why I took a twin room for myself, otherwise there'd be too little space.
I got to stay in a twin room alone for a really low price, and it was really good and comfortable. The hotel is very modern inside, everything was pleasant to use. All the water there is good to drink. You can get a new roomwear, slippers and towels every day. There's high security in the hotel, even the bathrooms and living floors are protected and accessible only with a keycard. Also there's a baggage storage area, a coin laundry, machines with drinks and a lounge zone on the first floor. The location is just near Karasuma Gojo subway station and just 1 station from Kyoto, but quite far away from most of the city's attractions, and the subway in Kyoto is inconvenient, so it's neither bad nor really good. I'd recommend to take a bike to go around the city.
