Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesEverything about the property was fantastic. Even if you don’t pay for breakfast as part of your original booking, you still get complimentary ramen in the evening as part of your stay. The onsen was the first one I had ever been in, and it was so relaxing after a long day of walking around Tokyo.

United KingdomWe were a group of 5, two children (9 and 12) and 3 adults. We booked a triple room (2 twin beds and a double). The sleeping arrangements was fine but we struggled to fit in all our suitcases. There’s a lack of places to hang our towels to dry. Having said this, the facilities and what the hotel offers were amazing! Lovely location, just around the corner from everything! The breakfast, if you enjoy Japanese breakfasts was amazing! We free night noodles were a treat; free yakult in the morning and free icecream from afternoon till late was worth a stop, especially after a hot dip in the onsen! And a manga corner with free massage chairs. The onsen was so relaxing and big enough that although at least 7 other individuals were there, we didn’t feel crowded or awkward using it. You just mind your own business. The hotel replaced all sized towels everyday. The washing machine was a bit fussy to use, you need to get a key to lock the washing machine so you can claim it, although other people didn’t so can lead to issues, but we were lucky as we had jet lag and did our laundry at 2am.

United KingdomThe location is superb. The immediate area is quiet and yet it is very close to restaurants and the Sensoji Temple. It seemed to be a safe area.

United KingdomA well situated hotel for visiting local sights, clean rooms with amenities, we did find it difficult to navigate using the air conditioning because of language barrier. I did find the pillow impossibly hard, but my travelling companion thought it was great. Breakfast was certainly interesting and plenty of choice.

United KingdomWe loved staying here. Husband, myself and my 6 year old daughter. We loved that we didn’t have to go far to keep entertained even when the weather wasn’t great. One of our best days was the coldest, cloudiest and greyest day! We still managed to watch a sumo show locally at the Asakusa sumo stables, sing some karaoke and then relax in the onsen. The multiple freebies at the hotel are amazing. We had a hot chocolate every evening, an ice lolly after the onsen and for those who wanted them there were ramen noodles at night. We would definitely stay here again.

United StatesI booked a double room for 2 people and it was pretty small. There was only a bedside table on one side and we both had cpap machines so I needed to borrow an extension cord from the front desk and run it across the room and put the cpap machine on the bed near my feet. Also when they said double room I think actually meant what we would call a full sized bed rather than a queen.

SwedenAbsolutely great place! This is a mix between a hotel and a ryokan - shoes off, tatami style floors and decor, and best of all, the onsen! This is a real spa experience, and the cherry on top are the free refreshing icecream and massage chair that we loved to use after. The free noodles were also definitely a plus! If there are any minuses, it’s that the room is rather small (but pretty functional) and some sights are far from Asakusa, but overall it’s well connected and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We’d return if we come to Japan again!

United StatesNothing I can think of
The whole facility was very clean and comfortable and very Japanese. When you first enter the hotel, you take off your shoes and there are shoe lockers to lock up your shoes! Then the entire hotel is lined with tatami and you walk around with your own socks or they provide you with toe socks. The hotel is so clean! In the rooms, they offer what we “the onsen outfit” and a basket with clean towels and toe socks to bring to the onsen. The onsen has lockers to store your baskets! The onsens have all kinds of amenities, and shampoos and face creams, etc. after the onsen. You can cool off with ice cream and/or ice pops and a wonderful massage chair! There is also laundry facility which in wasn’t mentioned in the Booking.com site! The hotel is right next to the senso-Ji temple. Which, we enjoyed lots of amazing small eats and enjoyed walking around the temples at Day time and night time. For those with young adult kids, the Asakusa Uniqlo is about a 5 min walk! There is also the Friendly Airport Luxury Limo bus depot 5-10min walking distance! Very convenient location! Would definitely stay there again the next time I’m in Tokyo!
