Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBreakfast was good but felt a bit too expensive for what you get. We only opted-in once. The complimentary vouchers for drinks felt a bit off. You could only use them from 3 pm until 7 pm (or something like that) and for coffee/tea only. I think people usually drink these kinds of caffeinated drinks in the morning, and it would be more expected to have other kinds of drinks complimentary in the afternoon (maybe a beer or some lemonade).
Great location (close to the quietness of the Sumida river bank yet also walkable to several metro stations, restaurants, and cultural sights). I loved the on-site onsen, it was well-maintained and not overcrowded. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was welcoming and very helpful.

DenmarkThere was nothing I didn’t like.
Absolutely fantastic hotel. Atmosphere is very relaxing. Everything is very clean and modern or well renovated, but still classic style. Stuff was so nice and polite. Breakfast in Japanese traditional style was delicious and there were some changes to menu every day. Location is absolute prefect!

SingaporePublic onsen was clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was a very good spread too. Location was a short walk from Asakusa station and very convenient to get to the airport especially if you have a lot of bags. We had a room with a good view of the city and it was wonderful 😊

United StatesIt's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was super cozy, with a but comfortable bed, and a small dinning table. There was a small fridge and a kettle. As this hotel is in Tokyo, the room wasn't very big, but somehow they made it very comfortable with a great layout. Unlike many hotels in Japan where they save on costs and don't clear your room daily, this hotel was a pleasant exception. Everyday I got new towels, toothpaste etc. Very generous. The included breakfast was so rich and tasty. So many healthy options of traditional Japanese food. The location was also great. Right next to the temple and very close to the subway.

BrazilThe rooms are kinda small, but that is the norm in Tokyo. Beds are pretty much on the hard side - but it makes sense considering the ryokan styled rooms (my wife was particularly upset with the bed). There are few pillows. Hotel can be challenging to find for those that don't speak Japanese, as its entrance is extremely discreet and there are very few signs (there are a couple in Japanese and a single very small one in English). Only a few staff members can speak some English - but that is also common in Japan, and they were very helpful and patient, so we could make it work.
Great location, very near main Asakusa attractions. The onsen facilities are very good, with many different bath options and overnight hours. The provided amenities (free ramen for dinner, popsicles at night after onsen bath, free massage chairs) are also great. The hotel is really clean.

Very convenient location. Surrounded by street food vendors and a stone’s throw from shopping belts & senso-Ji temple yet very quiet at night. Tatami mats are very clean and comfortable to walk on, facilities are spotless and there’s lots of complimentary snacks and beverages round the clock. Breakfast is world class; the selections are well presented and always kept topped up.

United StatesThe pillows were really hard and you only had 1 per bed. I think you could ask for more pillows but I didn’t ask. Tattoos in the onsen are not allowed which is tough.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of the action so traveling with kids this was a MUST. The room was spacious and the whole hotel just felt really authentic and was a great experience. We will definitely be back.

SingaporeVery clean hotel as guests walk around in socks only. Love love love the free 24/7 onsen with natural spring water (even though I only booked one night, I went to the onsen 2x- once before midnight and once at 6am!) The post-onsen complimentary Yakult, popsicles and massage chair session was also amazing. Room wise, it was big enough for 2 of us and our infant. Child safe too as the floor was clean for baby to crawl around with no safety hazard in the way… view was also great, as we were in a rustic area with the temple around…we regret not being able to stay for a few more nights!

BruneiIf you're travelling with a lot of luggage, getting to the hotel is a bit of a journey through tourist-crowded streets.
The highlight has to be the onsen baths. They were spacious, clean, relaxing, and designed well. The free snacks and drinks given throughout the day were excellent. The Japanese tatami theme of the hotel is unique, would highly recommend!

AustraliaOnyado Nono Asakusa Bettei Hot Spring was the perfect end to our trip! The staff were so friendly and accomodating. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the Senso-ji Temple and the Tokyo Sky Tree for our Anniversary. The hotel was well kept, clean and there were extras like free drink vouchers, late night noodles and unlimited hot spring access. The hot springs were very clean and relaxing. There were so many thoughtful touches in this hotel. We loved our stay!!
