How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Private bath on the terrace was a nice touch. Room was clean and comfortable. We stayed for one night. Hotel is clearly trying hard and seeks feedback from customers.

The room was big, but the toilet design was weird...... The toilet bowl sitting exactly blocking the door, the door clear opening was very small..... Just wondering why such a design for a hotel....

The room was good, the beds were nice. We didn't spend much time there but we were able to leave our bags there before checkin. There is plenty of information and pamphlets about Fuji and nearby services. There is a parking lot and we could park without any issue.

Great stay, if you come by bus take Fuji-Q Highland station and it's 10 minutes walk, they have rental bikes (per day, max 8h / 3000 yen) which i recommend to get. Near shops, and some restaurant options.

Small Hotel with wonderful onsen, all day complimentary coffee and tea. Staff have been really nice and helpful. Breakfast is ok. Well equiped room (we have stayed in the main building on the 1st floor). Only 5 min on foot from the bus station (note there are stairs to go over the road). The hotel seems to be more convenient with a car, but you can also use taxis to go to the tourist attractions.

The water temperature of the outdoor bath was supposed to reach 42 degrees, however although we followed the instructions and tried it more than once, the water temperature was definitely less than 40 degrees, so considering that the outdoor temperature was quite low the bath wasn't warm enough to stay for longer than a few minutes.
The mix Japanese/Western cottage combination with the outdoor bath in nature was very cool. The place for breakfast was very nice and the food tasted good too. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning was broken made the bungalow cold , the wall are very thin so you hear your neighbours through the wall.
Great location , close to the bus stop and with a privat Onsen.

It was not so clear at booking how the private bath works and it needs booking in advance and you can use max for 1hr a day. Breakfast was very basic.
Super nice location close to one of the main stations, traditional style room are a nice touch and private bath is great!

You could hear every noise from the hallway, which may not have been a problem in most circumstances. However there was a family during our stay that allowed their young child to run up and down the hallway and stairs til late into the night (despite several signs everywhere asking for quiet after 10pm).
Great location, staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean, free parking which was fab.

Walls were thin and there was a loud thud in the middle of the night. We’re also confused by the onsen buttons, the water had gotten cold quickly and we couldn’t do anything about it, so it wasn’t very enjoyable.
Location was superb. Right next door to all the stores and restaurants but was on a quiet slope. Staff spoke good english and were very friendly.

They have a hot plate but it says we can’t use it
Near the event we had scheduled and I liked how nice it was with the cherry blossoms and the breakfast is simple but very yummy.

Good stay, hotel nice and clean but walls are like made from paper - you hear all your neighbours. We couldn’t fall asleep until midnight because we heard every step of people from room above. Bathroom is super super small so if you are big, you would find it very uncomfortable. Very nice onsen.

The breakfast was very poor. Not a big selection and everything was in one used plates and cutleries. It just did not fit to that sort of place.
Lovely place with some atmosphere. You can simply book a private slot in a volcanic onsen which is lovely. The room had a lot of heating options for cold days.
