Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Property is beautiful especially the private onsen which my son enjoyed it a lot. Location is nice as it’s very near to Fuji Q Park and other famous Fuji tourist attractions.

GermanyA good walking distance to the nearest bus/train station. The breakfast does not have many options.
The staff were very attentive, helpful and nice. The private en suite onsen was very good and a nice amenity! The location has its upsides: it's quiet and very private.

AustraliaIt's quite difficult to access by foot and walked from the train station. I think we may have been the only people without a car; a backpacking holiday. It would be great if they offered a shuttle service. I mean we travel light but if you had to drag heavy bags there....
It's a nice place with nice on-site onsen facilities. Staff are friendly, quite relaxing.

The wooden room was pretty clean and comfy. There is a private wooden bathtub in the room, you could table a hot bath in a Japanese way which is very interesting. Simple but nice breakfast. Super nice and friendly staff, staff are good at english.

GermanyWLAN was not that good with the signal. A repeater was missing for the B building. Also you could hear ever step from other people above. It's depending on the people of course.

PolandBreakfast was very weak, coffee machines barely worked and there wasn't enough food for six people in total. There wasn't much to choose from. I know it's complementary but it leaves a bad taste even if its free. Also the location is pretty bad as the entire city is pretty much designed for travelling by car and the hotel is really far from the train station.
Very nice staff, personal hot tub and cool cottage style room.

NetherlandsThe location, or more specific, the way to get there The location itself is quite nice but we arrived by train - it is a stern 20 min walk, partly over the main road, past the rollercoasterpark, through a parking lot etc. It feels like you are walking somewhere you're not supposed to, but that is the route. Equally so when arriving past don quichote it feels like you're in a wrong location. Some signs along the road might be helpful ;). Nb. Probably less relevant when travelling by car, the hotel is close to the road and with its own parking lot. Also the bathroomunit was rather small. We liked it, rather funny to get in and out the small door ;).
Such a lovely, underrated pleasant hotel. There are two onsens to use with the help of a reservation system, when we stayed we could easily reserve them last minute. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. People leave their shoes at the entrance, slippers and a kimonostyle bathrobe are waiting for you. It is possible to rent bikes, even electric bikes. Though the bikes could do with a bith of technical TLC they function well enough to cycle to the lake at the base of mt. Fuji. The staff is helpfull and kind. Breakfast is complementary, rather basic (yoghurts, breads, buns, coffee/thea &juice) but tasty and plentifull. We could only stay for one night, wish we could have stayed for longer!

United KingdomIt's not that I didn't like it, but breakfast was very basic. Cereal, pots yoghurt, limited small pastries or sandwiches. What we had did us very well considering we climbed Mount Fuji!
Beautiful setting, very quiet out in nature, but also close enough to stores, restaurants and other local sites of interest. Room was very clean and well presented with a private outside hot tub. Hotel also offered the use of a private onsen, which you need to book in advance.

GermanyUnfortunately, breakfast buffet had been raided by early risers, so we shared one sandwich between our family. A solution might be to have a message telling people how many sandwiches they can take or handle the sandwiches to each room.

United KingdomThe traditional futon mats on the tatami floor in the chalet are still a but hard on female hips. Breakfast is very simple and Western. A bit cereal, milk, tea/coffee, juice, yoghurt, filled sandwiches, boiled eggs, butter, jam, croissants. Not a lot savoury optuons or low carb. There are kitchens in the chalets, but only the fridge was usable. There was a kind of Japanese hot water kettle/dispenser we didn't use.
Location is easily to reach by coach from Tokyo Station as the Hotel is only 6/7 minutes walk from Fuji-Q Highland coach/bus station. ( Dont go by train, it's 30 min difficult route to find & walk from the Fuji -Q TRAIN station.) Japan Bus Online has tickets costing a bit over ¥2000 one way. The Hotel is 20 min walk from the free to visit Fujisan World Heritage Center, and brilliant views on Mt Fuji are only a few minutes away from the hotel possible, as the hotel is surrounded by tall trees. There is an onzen to be used privatly & for free at the main building. Despite the hotel being close to the fun park it is very tranquile. A Don Quichote Supermarket is just down the road. The hotel has guest rooms in the main building as well as chalet appartments next to the main building.

AustraliaWe had the room adjoining the Onsen. Others using the Onsen until midnight and 1am were very inconsiderate noisy, banging and giggling which was on the wall adjoining our bed heads. Too noisy. Little sleep. Also no Taxi driver could get us back to the accommodation as they had no idea where it was even given written directions for it and the best we could hope for was to get to the supermarket.
The Onsen was enjoyable
