Even though it is not too far from Ella station, it is located in a steep hilly road which is hard to walk up, and even tuk tuks charge extra to drop at the guest house.

Fabulous place just be aware that there are allot of steps to get up from the railway station to the house if you are walking. You can get a tuktuk up the road too but note that you also have to walk up a few steps from the road.

The food was ok (another bland) and the portions sizes were small too, they gave us chicken one night even though we are vegetarian. There was a mix up with the rooms but I would definitely check that you are getting the room that is advertised as they don’t have pictures up of the one we stayed in. There’s construction near by and it’s a long way from the town center on steep muddy roads.

We liked the views, and being up in the mountains. The bed was very comfy and we appreciated the big squishy pillows. The bathroom wasn’t great, it felt cold and damp. They provided a fan which was nice and a wall lamp. We liked the views from the eating area. They have a very cute dog and nice children.

Most taxis/tuktuk wont go up the hill to drop you at the hotel, they will leave you one road down and you have to walk up the steps so just keep this in mind if you have heavy luggage, or maybe arrange transport with the property beforehand. On my last day the lady organized a tuk for me which picked me up from the hotel so I didn’t have to go down the stairs.

It’s a beautiful location with an amazing view and the breakfast was delicious. They were very helpful with arranging a motorbike and tuktuk for me quickly and flexible with leaving the luggage there on my last day.

My room was dump. I know they have new rooms as well but without mountain view. Bit distant from Ella but you can take short cut and in 20minutes you are there. Or they can arrange tuk tuk..

Wonderful stay, beautiful view in front of the room. Sad to see that they are building a big hotel just at the left side in front.. but there is still a large view to enjoy in front. The family was so so nice, great welcome and breakfast! Perfect walking distance from town centre - 10 to 15 min with the shortcuts. Can highly recommend the cooking class as Clay pot, very close to them in the street.

The hotel was clean, comfy and had a locely breakfast on our porch each day, and we were even kindly provided with a breakfast for our sunrise hike up Ella Rock. It's a walk up steep hills to get there, but in the end we enjoyed staying outside of Ella, and it means that we could see lots of birds and wildlife around the hotel!

A very welcoming place to stay. A 20min walk out of the centre of Ella, up in the lovely hills with nice views. We had dinner there both nights - excellent! and our laundry was done in a couple of hours (tumble dryer 👌).

Super helpful host and family. Both English breakfast and a few Sri Lankan dishes+fruits were provided for breakfast. The climb up the homestay was a bit difficult but the host helped us to the road on a tuk tuk and also helped carry the luggage.

quit far from the city center. but ok if you take the short cut. call the owner if you arriving from the train station or bus he will send you a tuk tuk as they are asking exaggerate price for the short drive

Very good experience! The view is amazing, especially for watching the sunrise, and the rooms are perfect for a couple of days in Ella. The location is convenient—close to the center and within easy reach of the Nine Arch Bridge. The host family is also very kind and welcoming, making the stay feel even more special.

The place is not in the city center, but it is uphill. It is hard to catch tuktuk that will take you to the city. But other than this, everything was fine.

Everything was good, and clean. There is a terrace in front of the room. I couldn't have stayed for breakfast, so the owner prepared sandwich to go for me! Thank you very much for that!

It wasn't clean at all. we didn't get any toiletries in the room, the room needs some serious dust cleaning. No AC. The bed sheets were ripped.

The bed was comfortable and it had a mosquito net which was great. The breakfast was really good! The only thing we didn’t like are so many stairs, but the view was good. Our hosts didn’t speak that much of English, but he was super kind.
