Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We loved everything about our stay. The treehouse was something we will never forget, you’re literally 1/2 an hour into the jungle, the staff simply couldn’t do enough and the food was top notch and in abundance. Our dinner cooked on bbq in a survivor setting was next level amazing. We highly recommend anyone to stay for the full 5 star jungle experience. One thing that’s not stated it there’s a plunge pool!

Sri LankaOur stay at Leopard Nest Yala was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a seamless check-in experience. The luxurious tents provided the perfect balance of comfort and nature, featuring spacious interiors, elegant decor, and all the modern amenities we needed. The guided safari was an absolute highlight—exploring Yala National Park in a 4x4 Toyota Hilux with expert guides gave us incredible wildlife sightings, including elephants and the elusive leopard. The staff's knowledge and passion for conservation made the experience even more enriching. Dining at Leopard Nest was another unforgettable aspect. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared with fresh, locally inspired flavors, served in the heart of nature. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines luxury with the thrill of the wild, Leopard Nest Yala is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Great authentic jungle experience, the candlelit bbq dinner was a highlight. They catered very well for me as a vegetarian, providing an amazing platter of freshly grilled veggies. Lasan and his team were excellent hosts and made sure we felt comfortable. They also arranged a great safari for us.

PolandAfter reading some reviews I was a bit scared about our stay at Leopard Nest. Fortunately unnecessarily. I think the owner of this hotel took all the comments to heart. 1. Right after we arrived the owner explained us everything, especially how to stay safe in the jungle, it was very valuable. We also received a whats up contact in case of any questions or needs. The contact was great and very fast 2. There were at least 4 people from the staff from early morning till late evening. 3. My internet from Sri Lankan mobile has a perfect signal, although I do not expect it in a jungle. There is wi fi at the reception, but I did not check it. 4. Breakfast and dinner are served, everything was delicious and so much that we could not eat it all. The dinner consisted of four courses appetizer, soup, grill and desserts. It was very nice in the middle of the jungle where only torches illuminated us. 5. There is bottled water in the room, and for dinner, if you want something else to drink, you can order it. 6. Additionally, because you have to go on safari very early in the morning, coffee and tea were waiting for us before we left, and we were given a tourist fridge full of sandwiches, eggs, fruit, cookies and water to take on safari. 7. Although the safari was organized by another company, the owner of the hotel asked us for contact to the driver to make sure everything would be on time. 8. The staff is very friendly, and everyone speaks very good English. 9. The air conditioning in the huts works very well. 10. When choosing this hotel, you have to remember that these are jungle huts and not a 5-star luxury hotel, you are close to nature here and in your room you can meet a small friendly lizard, this is an adventure and you have to be ready for it. 10.

CyprusWe booked a safari through the hotel. Although the driver skilled as a driver, he did not add to the experience as a guide. He only pointed to the various animals without offering any details or information and was always in a hurry to move on. When we saw an animal he stopped only for a few seconds to take a picture and did not stay longer for us to observe and enjoy the animals. We had an excellent driver in another safari in minneriya so the difference was striking
The hotel is really nice and very clean for it being in the jungle. The rooms are small because its a tree house so take a small backpack with you for the night there. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and the barbecue dinner was excellent! Tasty and very nice ambience

ThailandThe drive from the pick up point to the jungle can be a bit bumpy and uncomfortable, but that is something to be expected considering the location of the hotel. There were some miscommunications and misunderstanding regarding the room type that was booked, but these issues were quickly resolved and dealt with by Gayan.
The hotel is located deep in the jungles of Yala. If you're stayign here, chances are that it's for their leopard safari. We went on the safari shortly after checking in and it was a phenomenal experience. We weren't lucky enough to spot the leopards, but they say its a 50:50 chance of spotting one. We did, however, spot many other wild animals - crocodiles, elephants, water buffalos, deers, anteaters and many more. The hotel was as comfortable as it gets considering you are in the middle of the jungle, and the jungle barbecue dinner was spectacular. The hotel offers many more activities, and we opted for the morning lake-side walk with breakfast which was another highlight of our stay here, and afternoon fishing which was a lot of fun too. A special shout out to Gayan and his team for making our stay extremely comfortable and making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were great and the small jacuzzi pool was fun to use as well. Highly recommended to anyone planning a trip to Yala for a jungle safari looking to stay in the jungle.
