Staff don't speak English as advertised so it was a bit difficult to communicate

Staff were super helpful and breakfast was delicious. Though they didn't speak English but tried all means available (google translator and calling other people who speaks English) to help

Some of the staff struggled with English and French but we managed to solve the issues in the end. The bathroom/toilet has a curtain instead of a door, so it may a problem for those who prefer more privacy.

Very good breakfast and the overall quality (amenities, cleanliness) of the room is good. People with movement restrictions should be aware of the many stairs leading to the highest floors. However, the view from the rooftop is very nice.

I loved everything about my stay. The breakfast was phenomenal, the staff very kind, and my room at the top of the Dar was a highlight of my 3.5 week trip!

It was not a problem for us, but be aware that there are many steep steps up to the living area and the bedrooms, so it would not be suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Fabulous, characterful property, in the heart of the Medina, within easy walk of all the local points of interest. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Everything was perfect

The perfect place to stay ,The location was great close to everything, very clean, i really loved the decoration of the old style, They served a very delicious breakfast, The personnel were very friendly, nice and helpful.

Plenty of dust, uncomfortable bathroom, and space is very tight and uncomfortable for more than 2 people.

Room had no lock, lamp was defective and we got an electric shock, terrasse was meant to be private but other guests needed to pass through it to access another terasse, staff would not serve breakfast on the terrasse and one needed to go downstairs to bring it up.

Great location - only a small sign but the local shopkeepers helped us out with finding it . The staff are great - gave us mint tea on arrival . Our roof top bedroom was super cute. And yes, you can hear the call to prayer at 5.30am - what an experience !

Shockingly uncomfortable beds and pillows, curtains don’t do anything so all the light and street noise comes in. If you stay here, expect not to sleep for 3 days. The beds were also tiny, my feet were hanging off the end and I am 5’6. Staff were incredibly inattentive and you’d rather fast than eat the breakfast.

Service very poor. The household helper who "welcomed" us did not speak Eng, French, Spanish. I've been reading booking. com reviews of various places in general and more often than not, the comments are about great service. Well, here it is an extreme disappointment. I was looking forward to having conversations face-to-face with the owner, asking for advice etc. The room is on the third floor and the steps are steep. So you gotta be in the pink of health 😂. Quite dangerous especially going down. One false move and your vacation is ruined. She pointed to the last flight of stairs saying " terrace! terrace!" So we go up excitedly... indeed a wonderful view BUT it has been transformed into laundry area. There was a woman ironing clothes in a small enclosed "room", some cushions piled on a table, and a laundry hanging rack was laid open. (see photos). This terrace which greeted us was definitely NOT what we saw in booking.com photos of the Dar Tinja, with colorful cushions here and there, making for a lovely sitting area. Anyway, after the helper went back down, we realized we wanted some water so I tried the intercom, no one answered . For the price, why not include complimentary water, right? No glasses even. Those thoughtful details don't cost much but counts a lot. Several attempts to communicate via intercom went unheeded. I found out from the household staff that the owner manages a bigger property ( 10 rooms as opposed to Tinjaa with only 3) and no longer goes to this one. Location is in the heart of the medina though this can be a disadvantage because of inaccessibility of taxi ( you have to lug your luggage) and noise.

Too many stairs. Very narrow stairway and difficult to manage luggage. You have to go up one flight of stairs to check in and then more flights of stairs to your room. Shower area could have been cleaner and was in need of some TLC.

The view from the room was amazing. Looks out over the harbour in the distance. Location was right in the Medina and a very short walk to restaurants and shops. Room was lovely.

Overvalued for the service rendered, feels more like an indépendant airbnb, you have to guess everything in the property. Safe box not working, no kettle or even dustbin. No information or service.

Good location in the heart of the Medina. Excellent breakfast. Room looks nice and comfy beds. Beautiful feel from the roof terrace if one find the strength to climb the stairs, it’s tough.

When we first arrived, it was tough to find. Our taxi dropped us off at the top rather than the base of the medina. A local told us to follow him, unsure on our part, but he brought us right to the locked front door. 👍

Everything. In the heart of the medina. Surprisingly very quiet at night, except for the rooster. The hosts were fantastic. Breakfast top notch, typical Moroccan style. Guests are responsible to lock the doors.
