Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThere were small cockroaches in some places but that could be because it was located in the medina.
We had an incredible experience staying at Hostel Jad Ziad! The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and truly feels like a home away from home. Abdullah owner of hostel, is an amazing man who goes above and beyond to make every guest feel comfortable and cared for. His genuine hospitality and friendly nature create a vibe that you won’t forget. Even the breakfast was very hearty where you share it with other travellers, listening to stories. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, a helpful and kind host, and the opportunity to explore the desert (they offer tours), Hostel Jad Ziad is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Riad Jaad Hostel is an absolute gem for solo travelers like me! For just around £8 per night, it offers an incredible experience that’s hard to beat. The price even includes breakfast, which was truly amazing—fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day. One of the best parts of staying here is the social atmosphere. It’s a hub for solo travelers, and it was great to meet and connect with people from around the world. The rooftop is a fantastic space where you can relax, chat with others, and share travel stories while enjoying the beautiful views of Marrakesh. The property is impeccably clean. Both the rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and you can tell the staff takes great pride in maintaining the place. Speaking of the staff, they were wonderful—especially the receptionist. He was very humble and helpful with everything, even providing me with a charger when I needed one. Overall, Riad Jaad Hostel is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience. It’s affordable, clean, welcoming, and the perfect spot for solo travelers looking to explore Marrakesh while meeting like-minded people. Highly recommended!

United KingdomI stayed in the four bed female dorm and it was above my expectations. The room was very clean, there was an AC inside, there was lockers to keep our valuables in and it was constantly being cleaned. I met amazing people in my room whom I can say I will be friends with for life. Abdullah and his staff were always very caring, always willing to talk to you and always willing to help. Abdullah always went out of his way to help me when needed. The breakfast is served fresh so when you come out of your room, they make it for you fresh. The hostel was in a good location being a 10 minute walk from the square where all restaurants and others are located. For my first solo travel - Morocco was amazing and the hostel was a lovely choice.

FranceNothing. Even the restaurants are cheaper around the hotel than in Jeema el Efna.
Easy to meet people as soon as I arrived in the Riad and less than an hour later I was outside visiting the Medina with fellow travellers. The night chats on the rooftop with everybody, the laughs, the vibe. And of course, the amazing staff like Mohamed Ali, Abdu and the housekeeper who were adorable with everyone. I stayed longer in Marrakech because of that team :) so thank you all :)

FranceNothing. I even had air-conditioning in the female dormitory:)))
I keep staying in this hotel thanks to the staff that I feel are like my family. Thanks to Mohamed Ali and Abdu that are like brothers to me and made my stay amazing. They played Berber music for us on the rooftop and even shared their tagine with us. They make this place very special and everyone at the rooftop was feeling this joy and peaceful energy as everyone had a big smile on their faces :)

United KingdomI coped with the very few shortcomings: brighter lighting in rooms and more power points...and some door/wall hooks to hang things in my room would have helped?
Tremendous staff! Very friendly and very accommodating at all times. I asked to be moved to a first-time room..'no problem!' said Abdullah

United KingdomWhat did I not like? Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t enjoy during my stay—everything exceeded my expectations. If I had to pick one thing, it would be the fact that I eventually had to leave! The experience was so enjoyable, from the warm hospitality to the unforgettable ambiance, that parting ways with such a special place was the only downside. I would have loved to stay longer to soak in more of the unique charm and the vibrant atmosphere that Abdul and the team have created at Riad Hostel Jad Ziad.
Abdul was an excellent host! The pricing was fair, and the food was absolutely brilliant—authentic, flavorful, and a true taste of Moroccan cuisine. The architecture and style of Riad Hostel Jad Ziad were stunning, blending traditional Moroccan design with modern touches, creating a truly unique and welcoming atmosphere. The travelers staying here all seemed to connect effortlessly, adding to the vibrant, social vibe of the hostel. Whether relaxing in the beautifully designed communal areas or exploring the surrounding medina, this hostel offers a perfect balance of comfort, culture, and community. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Moroccan experience!
