Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe had an issue with smell in our room eventually moved to another room on the second night. The pool can be a little dirty with debris. The pool in the hotel quatro which share rooms with Argento was tiny and the pool lining was lifting. Noise within the hotel was bad, no soundproof whatsoever. In addition we were attached to a building site so the drilling every morning was frustrating.
The beds were comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The pool in the main hotel was good but small. Location was was super central but also no street noise from the busier parts

United KingdomPillows were a bit flimsy. Downstairs hotel bar wasn't open. Pool bar times were a bit vague and it didn't open until 11.30am.
Lovely breakfast buffet with an excellent variety of fresh options: breads, fruit, continental, cereals & cooked items. Pool area was well laid out with plenty of sunny & shady spots. Room was spacious & very clean with efficient AC & a bath. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomCharged for none return of towels when not made clear where to return, returned first day to reception and they did not seem to want back, next day left at pool as very unclear where supposed to leave, then on check out charge 10 euros for non return to reception. Having loved our stay, left a bad feeling at the end.

United KingdomThe wifi kept cutting out for me which was slightly frustrating, but other than that a wonderful stay and friendly staff.
The buffet breakfast was my highlight in the morning with a wide selection of cooked, cold and sweet dishes. You could also order different types of eggs and pancakes etc. the staff were very friendly and the roof top bar/pool had everything you needed for a simple but pleasant stay in the sunshine.

FinlandI had problems with the air conditioning, and as you know, Malta can be really hot. In the morning, water was coming from the roof in lobby area, so I can't say why the roof was leaking.
I was staying in brand new building so everything was modern. I liked the colors in the room and style what they had. Staff was helpful and the rooftop pool area was nice and not even crownded So you should definetly try that. Breakfast was varied.

ItalyThe poor material used for the room, the floor seemed to be made of plastic (fake wood), the curtains had a lot of scratches, the bottom of the bathroom door was totally inflated by humidity, I was not brave enough to look outside the bathroom window facing internal hole. Any time I used the towel the towel holder fell down on my feet. The view from the main window side was also not so pleasant.
The location is very good, easy access to all places of interest, restaurants etc. and at the same time not in a noise area, the breakfast was really good, a lot of choices and really fresh, and the size of the room was excellent.

United KingdomBlack out curtains didn’t fully cover window in places. Glass on balcony didn’t feel secure. Lack of English channels on tv. More wardrobe and draw space needed.
Very spacious room. Facilities very good. Rooms cleaned daily. Discreet pool on the roof quiet and relaxed. Cater for all needs at breakfast and very good selection. 24 hour shop 2 minutes walk away. The staff were very pleasant accommodating and friendly made us feel very welcome. Offered to help with bags and showed us how features of the property work.

United Kingdomno sound proofing between floors and rooms and corridors. incredibly squeaky doors (sounded like a dinosaur!). no bar at either pool (not a problem for me but would have been nice to have one). room in different hotel across the road (increasingly common in malta) no chair on tiny balcony. balcony would have just about fit 2 people on it. construction work can start at 7am so not ideal if you want a lie in (nothing hotel can do about this, but doesn't make it less annoying). plug sockets don't work properly. appliance turns off when in use. shower tray is spongy to stand on so not installed properly. none of these things individually are really a problem but they add up to being quite annoying. frustrating when the hotel has clearly been recently renovated
welcoming and helpful staff. excellent choice of breakfast including made to order waffles, omelette and pancakes. roof top pool with amazing views. quiet time of year so choice of sunbeds. centrally located. very clean in all areas. cleaners around during the day as well. shower very hot. unusual for a hotel abroad. recently decorated room.
