How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Fruit salad was just kiwis. Room was way smaller than the pictures, specially the badroom. Small bed.

I liked everything that could have been changed. (They can't help having bathrooms without windows. It's an old building that wasn't designed with that in mind). Maybe the breakfast needed less "single plastic" stuff (butter, jam etc), but that was really the only thing that could be improved. The rest was very good towards excellent, and for sure good value for the money.
Location, location, location! Next to the bus-stop from Valletta, great view over the nearby cities, historic building, between Rabat and Mdina (walking distance), 1 min away from a Michelin recommended restaurant.

It’s quite a loud property - the restaurant and bar was loud, the car park right outside is a really busy hub and generally the in and out of guests was loud during the night. The room we stayed in the window shutters were jammed shut so we had no natural light. The breakfast was below average and served overlooking the car park when they have a restaurant out the back with a beautiful view so that is a shame. The room was clean and the air con was really good. There is no mini fridge though so no option to keep water cold.
It’s in a really good location right outside the city walls of Mdina. If you are just staying for one night it is a good option for a base for exploring the area but I wouldn’t recommend staying for longer.

The part of the cleaning also we only had breakfast there and when they gave us the toast for our English breakfast the bread all seemed like leftovers aa non of the slices matched with one another

A wonderful hotel with character and so close to Mdina. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and happy. The food was delicious and generous. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay here and cannot recommend it highly enough.

That we had to ring the bell after 11 to get in.
Location great for Mdina and walk into Rabat. Room was nice and spacious Food was good and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again.

Point de Vue is a lovely blend of past and present. The current owners manage to preserve its ambiance and the high ceilings and beautiful interior architecture is nicely maintained

The room is nothing like the pictures. First we got a key to a room that was occupied, but this was sorted out. It wasn’t squeaky clean, the towels were worn out (ragged), and the bedlinen was even stained. The room was tiny and cold, and the air contitioning that we used to heat was annoyingly loud.
It is in a nice location close to the midtowns.

In Malta bathing products are iffy any where so bring your shampoo, hair conditioner and soap just in case.otherwise this place had it all.
Location, close to buses, Mdina and the central streets of Rabat for dinners, drinks and coffees. We had a lovely, newly renovated palazzo room with a gorgeous view with all amenities. Fridge, air conditioner, small balcony, tub, shower. Restaurants in the building for convenience.
