Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNo tea or coffee available in the room and no complimentary water. So not much I didn’t like. Oh and my Google Maps didn’t show me exactly where it was and I passed it by. It’s just set back a bit off the little road and has a big Red Door. I only remembered I had passed it when I went back to my booking and looked at the pictures. There I saw a picture of the door and realised I had passed it.
The guesthouse is in a renovated old building. it is just beautiful and reflects the local architecture. it’s a beautiful cool room with a modern set up and modern shower. The owner is very helpful and helped me navigate the bus system. He let me keep my bags there before check in close to the bus from Roman Villa, in walking distance. And walking distance to St Paul’s and the Catacombs and nice little restaurants.

United KingdomRoom size, very small or at least made small by very large pieces of furniture which we thought unnecessary. As a result we had to step sideways between the wardrobe and the bed. The shower room was accessed by 2 steps which were enormous, I'm guessing about 30cms deep. As older people with arthritic problems we struggled, a hand rail on the wall is definitely required. The bed cover was stained, though the sheets and pillow cases were spotless and of good quality. A few soft chairs in the lobby would help guests relax, we found ourselves staying out as there was no where to sit in the room other than on the bed.
Location was excellent, nice historic old house. Owner was good at communications before and during our stay. Bed was comfortable and the house was quiet overnight. Despite the age of property there is a small lift to all floors.

United KingdomDespite the hotel's strong points, there are significant areas for improvement. The bathroom design is impractical, as the toilet is positioned directly within the shower area and it almost unusable. This is highly inconvenient and needs to be rectified. The shower itself is unsafe due to dangerously hot water coming out unexpectedly. (the waring on wall dosent help, this needs to be fixed) The shower curtain and drainage are also subpar. The breakfast, priced at 13 euros and advertised as 'intercontinental,' was disappointing. It consisted mainly of low-quality cold cuts, fruits, and cheap cheese. The coffee was instant, and the orange juice was not fresh. There were no vegetables or eggs, and the owner's offer to provide more if requested is insufficient for a hotel of this caliber. The hotel's lighting is another issue. The cold light fixtures do not match the ambiance and should be replaced with warmer options. The owner needs to enhance their hospitality skills and improve communication to better represent the desired level of service. A more feminine touch might also be beneficial. It's puzzling why this hotel, with its potential, is underutilized, especially during peak season. My intention is constructive criticism. I believe this hotel has the potential to be exceptional and requires minimal adjustments to reach its full potential
The hotel’s location was fantastic, and the private balcony offered breathtaking views of Rabat. We were lucky enough to stay in the best room, and thoroughly enjoyed our seven-night stay. The hotel’s design and atmosphere were wonderful. It felt like a personal retreat meticulously crafted by the owner. It's truly a hidden gem for couples seeking a romantic getaway.

United KingdomThere was no breakfast included . "The Hidden Gem" is an accurate name in that it was really difficult to find; even businesses located 50 metres away were unaware if its existence. The telephone system/answering service was unfortunately out of order whilst I was there. The top floor room is accessed only by a small lift.
A remarkable little hotel but there was no breakfast -see below- good cafes nearby, however. The name and location is both a bonus in terms of a discreet secluded location near to the famous St Pauls Church but also difficult to find. The top floor room has an excellent private roof terrace. Patrick, the owner, was really helpful, when there.
