Awesome. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Staff were amazing, guests were amazing, and the hostel exceeded all my expectations. Can't wait to be back!

We stayed 3 times in total in this hostel. This is well located near to Thamel. The hostel is confortable and mostly quiet, with nice beds, warm showers, clean restrooms. The staff is very nice and keen to help. They got terraces to have chill time.

No hot water in the single room, restrooms in general could be cleaner, they are a bit dark as well. In some evenings/nights it was pretty noisy.

Very friendly and helpful family! Single room and dorm were nice. Hot shower in the shared restrooms. The new reception/sitting area is comfy, breakfast and coffee are tasty. I could store my bag here during my hike at Annapurna. Good location, 10 min to Thamel.

It's my 2nd time in this hostel and I still really appreciate it very much! In 2-3 weeks that I've been out of KTM they made huge and really good changes. This place is getting better and better! Beautiful, comfortable, great location and price and the food has gotten even better than last time 👍

The room was located at the ground level so sometimes it was a little loud. Also the room and the bathroom were not as clean as we hoped.

Hosts were super nice and comforting. They gave us many tips, organised a taxi drive for us and offered super delicious food and drinks. The prices for food are totally fine.

It's kind of a detail, but the wi-fi didn't reach in my room (though it was very good in the shared areas)

Very good location but remote enough from the closest main streets that you're not bothered by the noise. The hostel's food is actually better AND cheaper than a lot of places around! Very helpful and nice personel, with good English.

Water not always hot

Birds Nest is an amazing and cozy place where I felt like home. It is located few minutes far from Thamel but in a quiet area. The shared room was nice,mattress super comfortable, a bunked bed with a curtain for your own privacy. I have been really surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The atmosphere is familiar(the hostel is ruined by a family), there is a beautiful rooftop with a stunning mountains view. The staff is welcoming,smiling and they helped me to fix my phone and face out few troubles.. Food is good! Cappuccino more then good :) I loved this place! Thanks a lot to all the stuff!

Birds best is in a really good location! It is a family business and you feel very welcome each time you walk in the door! The rooms are very basic but if you spend time on the balcony you get a sense of peacefulness amongst the busy Kathmandu city.

Shower wasn't warm, and the shower head was coming off. There was a lot of noise late at night , but I guess that's a hostel vibe, one night there was a bit of a big argument going on, not the Places fault I guess. The room got very warm , so could do with a fan in the room. Wifi is a bit hit and miss
