Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BangladeshBeing a solo traveler, that too for the first time I was very skeptical about the place and how the people will be. But to my surprise, I have probably met the best hotel staff moreover the best human beings in this hotel. According to the price their service is really good. From the security guard to the highest position holder in the hotel, everyone was very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Last but not the least, the marketing manager, Mr. Shital, who looked after me like a brother in my entire stay. Even Mr. Navraj, the security guard, the young guy who served me breakfast everyone was so helpful, generous and kind that you will come back to this hotel again only for their hospitality. I wish the entire crew all the very best.

Czech RepublicI loved the manners of the staff. I also liked the lush green reataurant which is on the ground floor and the fact that the whole complex is surrounded by a wall and there is a parking lot in front, so you do not get the main street noise and people watching you while you eat at the restaurant.

BangladeshThere was no elevator but I understand for a heritage building, it makes sense and we had support from hotel to carry our suitcases and bags -up and down. So no problems whatsoever.
The hotel is in a prime location. Not very far from souvenir shops and cafes of Thamel. The rooms are spacious and For the price we paid, it was a nice deal.

ItalyThe walls of the bedroom are a bit thin and sometimes it's a bit noisy.
The stay was amazing. The staff was super nice, always smiling and being super positive! They were so kind to print us our Indian's visa for free and gave us welcome drinks on arrivals. The room was big and with a super nice balcony overlooking Kathmandu, for a very cheap price! The shower was our favourite in our 3 months in Nepal!

NetherlandsWebsite mentions that there is a tour desk available in the hotel but when we asked 2 different staff members, they didn't seem to know about it so we had to book our plans elsewhere. There was an empty desk opposite reception.
Good location. Quiet room. Staff were friendly. Short walk to the bars and restaurants of Thamel. If you're not fussy and looking for a short stay, close to the nightlife then it's cheap and cheerful. Don't be expecting luxury for the few euros your paying. Fine breakfast also

UzbekistanGood quiet location just outside noisy Thamel. Amazing view of the city and the mountains from the balcony. Staff were really nice, especially very friendly guy from the restaurant and both men from security. In winter it's quite cold, so you need not just an AC, but also a heater - thankfully provided by the hotel

United StatesThe exhaust fan in the bathroom was not good, the room streamed up and since it is cold inside everything was wet. The room wasn't very warm and the air unit didn't work very well. It was noisy most of the time, except at night, but dogs and pigeons wake you up constantly. Traffic outside was always load.
The room was good, not small like some. The shower had great hot water but does take a few minutes to warm up. The bed was okay but a little hard.

IndiaThe latch of the bathroom was broken. And since my son has just started crawling, he was heading straight to the bathroom. When we asked to fix it, they did a makeshift arrangement and secured it with a thread. It worked though.
Small but nicely crafted property in the next of the hustle and bustle of Thamel. Even the outside is lively and busy, hotel has a cosy and laidback vibes. Breakfast is simple.

KuwaitThere's no doorhandle on the inside of my room door to get out so I had to use the sliding locks to grab to open the door . One is up high and one is down very low. I found this a little strange as I've never seen a door without a door handle on the Inside of a room.
The outdoor seating area in the center of the space is absolutely stunning with all the greenery. There are also two large covered areas in case of bad weather. The staff who work in the restaurant are absolutely amazing, helpful, and polite,
