Felt a bit lacking in facilities, could easily be improved with an extra towel, bleach the toilet, a mirror, a waste bin, and a warmer light bulb!

Good location as a bit more peaceful at night than closer locations. Liked the decor and style of the whole place which felt like it had a lot of character. The roof top bar was cool and I loved the friendly dog!

The bin in my room was overflowing & didn’t look like it had been cleaned in 3-4 days. I would have rated higher if not for this.

Great value for money. Excellent location, close to Thamel and many nearby shops: Wi-Fi was strong, various seating/social areas. Beds were very comfortable & I had the best night sleep in KTM as I couldn’t hear any motorbikes at night!!! Helpful friendly staff Thank you :)

The food is a bit pricey but it's convenient and sweet. Just that the hot water in the washroom takes long to start flowing. But it is manageable. I hope they keep it up and don't change.

Some noise due to construction

My experience at this hostel was well above my expectations. Above all, the staff make a very welcoming atmosphere and are willing to help at every turn. This feeds into the vibe of the place, which to me, felt very homely. Warm lighting, cozy music and friendly staff really helped create a nice space where it became a no brainer for me to extend my stay with my boyfriend as we settled in before our trek. Hospitality was really nice. Although the restaurant is soon to expand, I will speak from my experience and say that the menu was a little pricey with limited options- but I was always satisfied with the convenience and food at large. Especially the American breakfast 🤤 The rooms are cozy and worth the price. Sure, there was noise during construction, but nothing at absurd hours of the night in my experience being there for a week. The location is great! Just beyond touristy hustle and bustle, but not far away enough if you want to enjoy the atmosphere of Thamel.

The road that leads to this hotel (~oct 2023) was temporarily under construction, therefore was really muddy. But, this problem will be solved in couple of weeks I guess.

Nepalese are extremely honest and straight forward people ... If you don't like something Nepalese or you messed it up, probably the problem lies with you, not them ...

Thamel, the main tourist centre in Kathmandu, is a expensive place ... So, if you do a little research for a budget accomodation with hygienic and good services at the same time, Hello KTM Hostel, located at Kaldhara Marg, is the perfect place to be ... I found the owner and his staff extremely hospitable ...The beds in my room were extremely clean ... Toilets are cleaned every day and even on demand ... Housekeeping is upto the mark and if you are a fan of local cuisine, Hello KTM offers some really good Nepali Thakali ... I went to Nepal because I wanted to meet some of the most genuine, simple, honest and kind hearted people on the globe ... Beautiful people with beautiful hearts ... Music lovers ... And each and everyday I roamed about Nepal, I never regretted my expectations ... Made some solid relations over there I'm from India and sometimes even antics of my fellowmen frustrate me, but Nepal is never a regretable destination and I plan to drop by every year, whenever I can ...

It's really noisy, even in the middle of the night, so you'll need earplugs.

It was not very clean and the vibe was kind of funny, it seemed like there weren’t many people around.

It is in a good location if you want to be centrally located in/near Thamel but a bit removed from the noise, my room even had a view of some trees! It was pretty quiet and I appreciated the attached bathroom for the price. The hosts made me tea and gave me fruit in the morning because I didn’t want the toast and eggs :)

Dirty sheets, no hot water, very noisy from roof top patio. Smoke smell in rooms. Didn't take the included breakfast after seeing dirty kitchen. Dog locked in a cage at night with no blanket!

Absolutelly best value for money! Hostel offers all you need for a wonderful stay and trip. Quiet, tidy and cozy rooms, fun at rooftop, superb special breakfast at dreamy lounge, great location and the most extraordinary are people (staff) here. They are honest, friendly and help with whatever they can: from luggage storage while travelling to detailed advice for trip or trekking or other activities. Love this place! Reccomend 100%

Absolutely loved my stay! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the town . The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations and chat. I stayed here back in April, when I returned this time, I really don’t like it. The floor, the toilet and the sink feels so dirty and not well maintained, I just feel like no one cares about making this place comfortable. Also every night, they would lock the main gate, so there were guests who come back at 1am and would keep knocking the door to wake the door boy up, it takes 5-10mins for the door boy to respond. They should implement a better system than locking the main gate without notifying the guest. After 2nd night, I know I had to leave
