Room (4 bed dorm) very hot and only cooled by a fan that didn't do much. Did EBC tour through the hostel. Tour was good (Guide called Ram - very funny and friendly, highly recommend the tour (good price compared to other companies offering too)). Only negative was we had a meeting with the guide the night before departure, and one of the hostel receptionist came. At the end of the meeting he said to us (infront of the guide) that tipping was mandatory and we need to leave a good tip. Agree with tipping the guide if a good experience is delivered, but it felt uncomfortable being told by the receptionist that we needed to tip (especially with the guide being there). Not a major problem, but just felt a bit off. No soap or shampoo provides in hostel washrooms too - remember to bring your own!

Great location - easy access to Thamel but no residual noise from the nightlife. Super friendly staff - especially waiters on top floor. Always smiling and supportive. Helped me with tips to visit the monkey temple, gave advice on food, generally just very pleasant to be around. Good WiFi on all floors. Hot showers and good amount of space in dorms. Nice relaxing rooftop area. Food and drinks good and well priced.

Very nice chill and social vibes. Staff is so kind and helpful. I booked my hiking to the Manaslu thanks to them and got an amazing guide (Prakash Sapkota). This adventure is one of the best memories of my travels and that’s thanks to him. I highly recommend the hostel and the trekking agency. Dhanyabad.

It’s very well maintained, hassle free, beds and toilets are clean which is brilliant. Restaurant is great, service is great. Has a great view at the top and is close to thamel. Honestly the stay was wonderful and people were amazing, they arranged the Everest base camp trek and the guide they provided was amazing. So it was a great experience in Nepal, thanks to everyone at the hostel. Amazing people and I definitely recommend!
