How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The hot water shower waa only very hot and the temperature didn't vary. Not much space in room.
Excellent ac, convenient garden cafe, flexible and very helpful staff, great security, central location on peaceful street. Very great value mid-range hotel. Very clean and new. Big comfortable bed and quilt. Cheap and fast laundry. Cheap room service.

We had a wonderful time staying at this amazing hotel in Kathmandu. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the lively streets of Thamel, full of shops, cafés, and local energy but the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning and hot showers. The service and comfort were excellent. It felt warm, welcoming, and very smooth, just the way we like to travel.

The rooms are a bit small - it is a good budget option, but a bit difficult to do work in if you need more than a place to sleep.
The staff was great - very attentive and a true pleasure to be around! As well, the breakfasts were delicious very filling! The location is also very convenient - easy to walk to any place in Thamel or Durbar Marg.

Shower is only really hot or cold with no in between temperatures. Room not very spacious.
Excellent WiFi, convenient small garden cafe, Excellent ac, excellent price for good facilities in a central but peaceful location. Helpful staff. Excellent cleanliness. Good 24 hour security. Hot water. Comfortable big bed with good quilt and desk and kettle.

We’re a group of friends from New Zealand and found this hotel to be an absolute gem for the price. Traveling to different places in Kathmandu can be a bit hectic, but this place gave us a calm, clean, and comfortable space to come back to each day. The rooms were simple but had everything we needed; good air con, hot showers, and comfy beds. Another thing we appreciated was how affordable it was maintaining the quality of service. Highly recommended for groups!

If you are looking for an affordable hotel with the best facilities and services, this hotel is one of the best hotel in Kathmandu. I visited Kathmandu from the UK and stayed at this hotel. The location is ideal, just a couple of minutes from the center of Thamel, yet very quiet and peaceful. My room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, including reliable Wi-Fi and a proper hot shower. One incident when I arrived at hotel, I found I mistakenly left my license card in the taxi. I asked the front desk if they could help, they actually tracked down the driver, and got my license card back the same evening. Thank you so much. This is a nice hotel with genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for travelers visiting Kathmandu.

Sawasdee ka 🙏 I came with my friends from Thailand and stayed in single room. My room was nice and very clean and cozy, with everything I need- aircon, hot shower, clean bed 😊. The location is very good, only few minutes walk to Thamel market, where we can shop, eat, and enjoy many things. Staff are very friendly, they smile a lot and help with everything, like finding good restaurant, calling taxi, and giving good advice for sightseeing. I really recommend this hotel for Thai people and friends who want clean, peaceful, and friendly place in Kathmandu. Khob khun ka to all staff.

My friend and I (travelling from New Zealand) stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room. The room was spacious, very clean, and well laid out, with comfortable twin beds, air conditioning and a hot shower. Everything worked smoothly, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The location is unbeatable, just a couple of minutes’ walk from all the action in Thamel, yet far enough from the noise. The staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely kind, ready to assist with directions, laundry and transport. The on-site restaurant was convenient, and the small garden area gave the hotel a relaxed, homely vibe. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, and the service exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend it to other travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place in Kathmandu.
