Very spacious, very clean, the gentleman who works there can tell the history of Oman like a tour guide and helps with transportation and food. We can say that a place close to most locations can be stayed for months, summers are cold and winters are hot.

My bed was facing the air conditioner, so I had to adjust it to direct the airflow in a different direction in order to sleep comfortably. Everything went well.

A shower in the room and an additional one in the hallway. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Cozy environment. Polite staff and manager. Great location. A kitchen equipped with everything necessary.

- Lou (Gasmilouay) is perhaps the best hostel manager I have ever met in my travels over 90 countries. He is helpful not only in taking care of your needs while at the hostel but also arranges tours/ taxis for you/ guides you well. - clean hostel with every amenity possible including mineral water dispenser that you can use to fill your bottles up for the day.

Everything was good

I had a wonderful stay at Heritage Hostel! The place was very clean, and the atmosphere felt just like home from the moment I arrived. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable the entire time, which made my trip so much more enjoyable. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, always available to assist or offer suggestions. One of the best parts of my stay was the friendly, welcoming environment—I made many good friends during my time there, and it really enhanced the experience. I’ll definitely be visiting again soon and would highly recommend Heritage Hostel to anyone looking for a warm, safe, and social place to stay.

Everyone at the hostel, from staff to other guests, was friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were kept very clean and the bunk beds were cozy (I found them quite comfortable, I like a good firm mattress). Communication with the owner and manager was easy before and during our stay, and we shared some meals and engaging conversations with our host and the other guests. Easy and cheap to take a taxi out for sightseeing/restaurants/etc., and I liked being a quiet neighborhood. In short, this was the perfect place for 5 friends to stay while exploring Muscat for a couple days.

The cats were a bit annoying sometimes.

I spent five great days at Legacy Hostel and felt like home. I already miss my little hostel family. The ladies dorm was very clean and spacious with an own bathroom that was kept very clean. What I liked most was the comunal area where you always found someone to chat and connect and plan trips together. Also there were many cute cats <3

Staying at Legacy Hostel was such a special part of my time in Oman. Lulu was an incredibly kind and genuine host who created an easygoing, welcoming space where I met amazing people from all over the world. One of the highlights was a laid-back, unforgettable day at Wadi Shab—good vibes, good people, and memories I’ll hold onto. Even though I didn’t get to meet Zouhaier, the owner, he was so kind and patient through WhatsApp, helping me get everything set up before I arrived. It really meant a lot and set the tone for the whole experience
