Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Philippines- Shuttle transport to and from the city is expensive (3000 PHP). - Rooms with a lake view do not actually overlook the lake due to tall acacia trees, though the mountain view is still nice. - Guests are required to wear a wristband all day. - The air conditioning makes the floor damp. - The beach is a bit far to walk, though a shuttle runs all day. - Part of the beach and swimming pool is for members only—not accessible to hotel guests. - The kids’ playroom is not free—300 PHP for 2 hours.
- The quality of the Italian in-room dining was fantastic. - The room was very clean. - The air conditioning is very powerful (estimated at 2.5HP). - The view of the green mountains is beautiful. - There is a walking path around the lake with a well-maintained garden featuring a mix of acacia trees, palm trees, and elephant ear plants—walking around takes over an hour. - Excellent breakfast, with the option to sit indoors or outdoors surrounded by nature. - The beach has dark sand but no rocks, so water shoes are not needed. It slopes gently, making it suitable for our 1-year-old. - Beach chairs are free to use.

CanadaThe Filipino and Chinese food here is bad, this is not good considering we are in the Philippines. We have learned to never order Filipino or Chinese food at this hotel, the irony is that we only order the Italian dishes. The cooks for Filipino food needs to be either replaced or retrained! How can we showcase Filipino dishes to foreigners when the Filipino food in the hotel is worse than the Italian food? An example of bad food: the adobo is so sweet it is no longer adobo — it’s paksiw. The beef tapa is so sweet it’s almost like candy. The chicken we ordered came to us not fully cooked, it still had blood. The sinigang was terrible, the meat was hard. The crispy pata was hard. The steamed fish was not fresh, I don’t think they know how to cook it at all, whatever recipe they used was terrible. The pancit was inedible. Majority of the customers will be from Luzon or foreigners, and people from Luzon and foreigners do not like food to be that sweet. It’s understandable if the hotel was located in Iloilo, and Illonggo food is sweet, but it is not.
Love the location, amenities, and the staff

PhilippinesOverpriced food. They charge like a 5 star hotel which the service and hotel is clearly not. No other restaurant options or grocery store nearby. The rooms needs deep cleaning specially the CR. There are even cobwebs. First time I had issues with free breakfast. Every morning, I have to explain which is embarassing and annoying at the same time.
Private beach, most staff are attentive. The lagoon view is relaxing. You can opt to walk to go to the beach (8-10mins) or you can avail of their shuttle.

United StatesI booked through Booking.com and it indicates that the room I chose is good for 4 people max. When I arrived at Pico Sands, I was told that the room is only good for 2 adults. I intended to put 4 teenagers in the room so I had to pay extra for 2 individuals! I was surprised to find out that this hotel charge per person and not according to occupancy. It's really MISLEADING!!! Also, you have to pay extra for using their recreational facilities such as basketball court, billiards and bowling. I wasn't also impressed with the food choices for lunch/dinner. You have to have EXTRA, EXTRA money to enjoy this place.
Pleased with the location. Breakfast menu is always delicious and authentic Filipino flavor. We love the Pumpkin and Shrimp Risotto. Staff is is friendly and respectful! Shuttle service is easy and accessible.

The hotel staff were so accomodating specially Ms. Hannah at the frontdesk. A panoramic view with trees, flowers and lagoon outside the hotel and a beautiful landscape of the area. Breakfast was delicious and the facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed the beach and outdoor activities- cove tour and snorkling.

PhilippinesThe breakfast selection when we stayed wasn’t so nice. No western food like bacon, no egg station. The Filipino dishes were not good - pork longganisa, chicken pastel & beef picadillo. I was hoping for the usual breakfast staples like tapa and tocino
I love the views, the beach, the super comfortable bed and the shuttle!

SwitzerlandIt's very remote from civilisation and there's no free hotel transpaortation to for example Nasugbu. Also part of the beach is not open to hotel guests. Pool closed way too early.
Since it's a hotel/condo complex there's a few options to eat and have activities. Also I liked the sports facilities and the free gym.

SwitzerlandThe hotel rooms can be improved still- the wooden part in the toilet was falling apart. The light inside the hotel room are not good, the low dim yellow lights used hurt my eyes.

United StatesThe facilities really showed their age. Lots of rust in the bathroom, yellowing of sheets, and no fan in the restroom. We had 4 rooms and when we entered the smell from the restroom was very unpleasant. The pool area was nice but the mats and seats were breaking apart. The dining tables in the restaurants were plastic wicker so some glasses are prone to tip over. The beach bar service takes forever even for 1 nacho - took 40 minutes with 1 other table in service. We visited a few times because it is the only eatery at the beach. Limited AC or fans in central areas.
Free breakfast had a different protein every morning. 3 restaurants on the property and free shuttle service to the different areas. Walkable and pretty landscape. Food was a good price for our party size. Staff was very nice. Ease to bowling and other activities was appreciated.
