Nothing not to like. Was all amazing. The only slight thing to improve (and I know is difficult) is to try to address the flies in the breakfast room in the morning. The room would benefit from ultra violet fly prevention lights.

Beautiful hotel, one of my favourites in the whole world. Steeped in history and atmosphere, absolutely no need to look at any other hotels in Asuncion. All members of staff very professional and extremely helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast and wonderful swimming pool. I will always come back here. No room for improvement.

A charming hotel with character, lovely gardens to relax in and a pool for those lazy moments. It feels like you’re living in a little bit of history and I mean that in a good way. The breakfast choices were plentiful and fresh with a good selection of food and drink. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Special mention should go to Sol on reception, she always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. She’s the sort of person who makes you feel special. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of the city not far from the older part of the city, but if you want to go there it’s a five minute $3 taxi ride. The airport is about 30 minutes by car $25 fare by taxi.

If you had a second floor room (there are only two floors) you have to carry or have a bellboy bring up/down your suitcases as there is no elevator. This was a very minor issue for us.

I was looking for a decent hotel with parking and a pool within walking distance of the sites in the city center. It met all those expectations and more but what I truly loved is that the entire facility made me feel that I was visiting Asuncion in a different time, the 1950s perhaps. I don't mean that in the slightest negative way, all the amenities that we needed were there. It is more that the architecture and the grounds brought be back to a simpler time. I joked with my wife that this was the place that Juan Peron told Evita they could go in exile in Paraguay in the musical Evita.

The hotel has spacious public areas, and it is a historical building. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is very good. Air conditioning in the room was very good. Many furniture items are old, but of nice quality.

The outdoors, gardens and pool are incredible. Breakfast was good. Its a nice colonial style hotel. I enjoyed my stay. A/C worked well, I will be back.

Wonderful place. Hotel located close to Asuncion centre but after entering you feel like far far away from the City- there is a very large, quiet, well maintained garden, nice pool and the building itself is an example of pearl of architecture. Personnel was very kind, competent and helpful, breakfast fresh and varied. I definetely recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Asuncion.
