Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWonderful stay, all amenities, restaurant, swimming pool were no-fuss, easy access. The staff was stellar and on the pulse. Truly helpful and attentive. Great value for the money. Located near a few areas of interest: the national museum, souq waquif, flag Plaza, the corniche and even a few miles further, the highly instagrammable Mina district.

Saudi ArabiaHowever, a few things made the stay feel more like a 4-star experience than a 5-star one: Breakfast was the same every day, which became repetitive after a week. A little variety would really help. No coffee shop or lounge in the lobby, which we found a bit unusual for a hotel of this rating. The pool was too hot to enjoy during the day, and there's no shade or covering to make it more usable. The bathtub felt like it wasn't properly cleaned, so we didn’t use it. The hallways on each floor are quite dark—the lights only activate by motion sensors, and even then, they’re very dim. While we understand the need to save energy, a bit more lighting would make guests feel more secure and comfortable. Despite these minor concerns, we had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel has potential and we’d still consider coming back, especially for its location and staff hospitality.
We stayed at Golden Tulip Doha for 7 nights and had a generally good experience. The check-in was quick and smooth—special thanks to Kim at the reception for being warm and welcoming. He made our arrival pleasant. Our room was spacious and clean, which the kids loved. Housekeeping came daily and refilled our amenities consistently. The location is also excellent, very close to tourist spots like the National Museum, Souq Waqif, Mina District, and the Corniche—which made it easy for us to explore Doha. We appreciated the gym, which was clean and had decent equipment.

NetherlandsEverything was exceptional
This was the best hotel we stay in our trip. The location was great as it was in middle of main attractions. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. When they hear we are visiting Qatar first time then they upgrade us for free of charge. The hotel has big lobby and also so many facilities including fitness center, spa and swimming pool. The breakfast options was big and was very refreshing. The best part of the restaurant was one Pakistan restaurant on the ground floor. This restaurant has the highest quality and taste of food we ever had. Every thing was fresh and soooo tasty. We loved our stay. We highly recommend the hotel and will choose it for next visit to Qatar.

Very kind and helpful staff, 10 minutes drive from the airport, nice, clean, big room. We spent a night here waiting for our connection flight. It was ideal for this, 10 minutes by taxi from the airport, in the city. On the way back, we asked the reception to call a taxi early morning and they arranged it within 5 minutes. The staff was very kind and helpful, room service with delicious food was available after midnight. I asked the hotel about airport transfer before we travelled. They advised us to take a taxi, told us what the price is (and of course told us they can arrange limousine service if we would prefer it instead of taxi). Thanks for the hotel, we would definitely choose this hotel again.

New ZealandThere are a couple of times a week when the pool is single sexed - it's just worth taking note of these if planning to swim as a family. Another thing to think about is that while the hotel is a very walkable distance to the nearest metro station at sous watiq, it is not a walk you want to do midday in June!
The hotel was wonderful. Great room, great pool, great breakfast, great staff. It was a perfect base for our exploration of Doha with plenty of room for four people. In addition, when there were some questions about whether we would be able to fly out as planned, the hotel were willing to keep our room for us, just in case, which was very kind. I could not recommend it more highly.

PhilippinesI'm impressed of the hospitality shown by Golden Tulip Hotel staff especially in the reception. Mr Kim was the one on duty when we checked in and checked out and everything went so smoothly because of how accommodating he was. It was our first time staying at Golden Tulip Hotel Doha and we will definitely come back. We would also like to appreciate the generosity of the staff on the 14th floor (health club).

QatarThe staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly the gym and spa staff who went above and beyond. The small gym and pool were great and we mostly had them to ourselves. The location is perfect for the corniche and a central spot for exploring downtown Doha. The morning breakfast was a good buffet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I have to say that the whole experience was much better than the price point would suggest!
