  • Argyll Arms Hotel Review score: 10

“I was only able to get one night at the Argyll Arms - they were fully booked my second night in Campbeltown. So I had to wait until 3pm to get access to the next accommodation I was able to book. The staff were super helpful and accommodating- allowed me to set up my workspace in a quiet corner, made sure I was warm enough and had drinks brought to me until 3pm when I could check into my next place. I really appreciated the great service.”

  • The Glenburn Hotel Review score: 7

“Nice staff, ability to take a dog with us, good location, extra blanket and pillows in rooms.”

  • The Royal Hotel Review score: 9

“V close to the bus stop”

  • Oban Backpackers Review score: 10

“From my (maybe fairly limited) experience, this hostel has a personality that is unique and refreshing. There’s no television, for a start. What takes its place, for those not reading or studying in this or that corner, is a truly international exchange of jokes, banter, experiences, opinions and ideas. Spontaneous music-making and an impromptu dance class sprang into action from time to time as the gales howled and the rain bounced off the ocean. I’ve never been gladder of the badder weather; I got to spend happy hours indoors with optimistic, caring, inspirational souls.”

  • Tobermory Youth Hostel Review score: 10

“Fantastic location, close to amenities, right in centre of the town. Very friendly, helpful and informative colleague on duty. Checking in/facilities were spot on, geared up for solo/independent travellers (and families too).”

  • Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa Review score: 9

“Beautiful location overlooking the loch, surrounded by hills. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely room, loved the design. A proper spa hotel not just a hotel with a pool, it felt luxury. Properly dog friendly, allowing dogs in restaurant and in the lovely room. Great spa facilities and bonus areas if you want to pay extra like outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. The food was also wonderful. Really enjoyed our stay, it felt like a proper luxury retreat.”
