What a serene oasis of calm - with a wonderful, welcoming owner and staff who went out of their way to care for us and ensure we had the best experience. Comfortable, clean, spacious, stylish, art filled rooms, fast WiFi, a pool for swims beneath the frangipani trees - and Bu Wulan's delicious home-cooked meals: it really is a gem of a homestay. Every detail has been thought through with care. The village setting is attractive for local walks - and it's a 25 minute Grab ride into the centre of Yogya and for travel further afield, Bintha was very efficient at arranging drivers. We feel really blessed to have experienced such warm hositality and would return in a heartbeat.”

    “You can basically see Bromo from the parking lot and see sunrise and sunset from there to avoid the massive crowds at the “official “ sunrise spot. After sunrise have breakfast at the Lava view Lodge just 300m down the road . They open at 7am, offer toast and jam ( if you are sick of the Nadi Goreng ) and make a decent coffee and tea.”
