“First of, Banyu Kasongan located in a desa in Bantul is a good respite for travelers who wants to escape the main city. The desa is serene and peaceful. Surrounded by local artisans from pottery, handcraft rattan goods and statue makers.
The location is close to local mini marts and a cafe. The hosts also allows you to cook for yourself but of cos you've to clean up after yourself. The property is guarded by 3 cats with unique personalities – haven for cat lovers! Anin & Angel are lovely hosts and would have a chat with guests over coffee and breakfast. They cooked me lunch on my last day before I checked out.
The facilities are basic but sufficient. The room is ventilated by a window and a small fan. No water heater in the shower but that's fine for me. This is something you need to consider if hot shower is a must for you. The alternative option is to boil hot water for your showers.
Overall as a first time guest, I fell in love with area, the hospitality and the people around the desa. Definitely great for a stay and with strong Wifi connection, you can get work done too if needed. I'll be coming back for future stays in I want to spend more time in Bantul.
Thank you Anin & Angel!”
“It‘s just like on the pictures!! Very clean and comfy. The room is quite big and the bed is a total dream!! You‘re staying a few hundred meters from a small village in a nice green nature surrounding. The staff let us check in at 3 am which was amazing!! The pool area is very clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again!”
“If you are staying in Yogyakarta for more than a couple of days, this place is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Malioboro. There a few places to eat nearby and Malioboro is a walkable distance (better to take a Grab during the heat of the day).
There room was spacious and we had free use of the patio area, kitchen and living areas. The living areas are warm during the day but there are ceiling fans to help alleviate the heat somewhat.
The staff is amazing - they are friendly and we were always greeted with a welcoming smile. They kept the property clean and the landscaping lush - a comfortable place to pass the day when we just wanted to relax. A lovely stay!”
“A beautiful cosy setting to explore yogya from- walking distance to the centre. Our room was very comfy and the breakfasts were delicious.
Beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy breakfast/a drink in too. One highlight is the staff- all so friendly and helpful with lots of information to share!”
