  • PLACES Hvar Hotel by Valamar Review score: 10

“We absolutely loved the location, the rooms we booked, the beautiful buffet breakfast, but especially the $25 euro dinner/drinks credit system. With 3 boys that made for the most enjoyable stay! x”

“Filip, Sanja and Mirna were all so lovely and friendly and really made me feel so welcome and comfortable! I extended my stay several times and even returned back to stay again! It's peaceful, quiet, clean and comfortable! I met wonderful people and really appreciated the morning breakfast and the flexibility. It was so great to be away from the hustle and bustle but still so close to the old town, the Riva, some great beaches, and park Šuma Marjan. The bus station is also a short walk away to take you to Trogir or the airport...”

“We visited during a heatwave, the day we left, the uber showed 42 outside of the car. So the AC was great to have, couldn't have done without. The hotel looks ok, as per the pictures. The staff is nice and try to help/be helpful, but in a Eastern European way, which we are used to, however some British guests didn't seem to enjoy. 😅 Food wise it looks like they didn't really catch up with the times, but you won't starve, if it's your only option for food. The breakfast doesn't offer a big variety. And on our second morning you could tell that the items weren't fresh anymore. But we had tomatoes, cucumbers and boiled eggs, bread and butter. Overall, despite everything not being great or perfect, I would return, for the location. I just wouldn't eat there anymore. There was a really nice waiter in the evenings, a bit older, he was very calm, kind and knowledgeable. As well as the girl who did the housekeeping. The 2 of them seemed to be the nicest.”
