  • Pension Amagiji Review score: 10

“Genuinely such an amazing place. It was so comfortable and the host was so accommodating! She was so lovely. This place is close to the bus stop so it’s easy to get around to places like the Kawazu Waterfalls etc. Definitely add the breakfast to your booking it was so good especially since there’s not much around restaurant-wise. The rooms were comfortable and had aircon. Would 100% recommend staying here!”

  • “We loved our stay at the Samurai-era house—it was a wonderful, authentic experience of the Japanese countryside as it was in the olden days. We opted for both breakfast and dinner, and both were excellent: simple but delicious meals made with ingredients from the surrounding area. Although the host couldn't speak much English, he used a translator to share the story of the house and what life was like for farmers during that era, which added so much to our experience. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. Not a negative, but do take note that the facility only offer shared bathroom.”

“Magome is beautiful and Ken and Yuki have created a very stylish guesthouse there. The view from our room was striking! Ken and Yuki are very welcoming hosts who go the extra mile to make everyone feel special. The food, created from Ken’s experience in India included rice he had grown himself. It was delicious! We hope to stay agsain sometime!”
