How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Wonderful location, right on the beach. Pool was great with a small shallow fenced in children’s area: perfect for toddlers play. Staff was excellent when we arrived on our check in day. Wildwood overall was convenient for our family, and the hotel accommodations fit right in to our family vacation plans.

Our room was really small not having been there before we assumed all rooms were like the promo pics on the web sight…. Ahh no! So before we left, we wanted to book our next adventure with at the Crusader since we had such a grand time there for one of the rooms that are pictured in the promos, which would’ve been oceanfront, but sadly they are all booked up for that weekend we wanted.so we need to go elsewhere unfortunately 🥴

Everything was perfect.
My stay was excellent! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and hospitable. Great location across the street from the beach. Facilities were very clean. I would highly recommend The Crusader Resort.

hot tub would be nice and the parking was terrible unless you have a compact car your going to have issues

Loved the corner room we were in with great view of both sunrise and sunset. Pool hours kept it quiet when the sun went down. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and thorough in keeping the upkeep!

Room was dirty. Hairs all around TV. I just stayed away. Noticed after unpacking and only there for a night. Parking is way too tight. My jeep has a big ding now

Parking. Though each unit was provided one free parking spot, the spots were very tight and it was tricky to open doors to get in or out of your car. My car door did get a ding in it while parked in the parking garage 🙁
The hotel was well staffed and every employee was polite, friendly, went out of their way to be helpful. They were professional and hardworking! The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. Hotel was clean and well cared for. Daily maid service kept our room clean and stocked.

Very clean and tidy. Very friendly, helpful staff. Spacious room (2 Queen plus kitchen and sofa). Our room faced the pool - Quiet hours were from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, and we were able to get a good night's sleep - much appreciated! Restaurant was great - nice waitress, very good food! Good location; within walking distance to the boardwalk. Safe location.

Really did not have anything that you call bad. Minor stuff,, Oh yeah, bring your own toilet paper,, the stuff they have you can read a newspaper through. 😆😆. If you're going to cook your own food bring a can opener,a pot or maybe your own frying pan. The one burner was broke on the stove but they said it would be fixed. I wish they had a bigger screen TV and a smart TV because we subscribe to sling TV. We had to watch our recorded shows on a laptop. BUT WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN 👍👍👍
Kitchenette. Big refrigerator, The location is pretty good, Nice size room with two couches, two TVs, The place is clean, nice pool and upper deck , had a lot of covered parking and staff was very,very nice and helpful.
