    Everything

I love the design, a mix of modern Scandinavian design. It’s brand new and so there are some things that needs to be added to the room like accent chairs, the room was big and comfortable the bed and pillows were nice.

The pool was not warm enough and all my food was frozen the next day in the fridge.

The rooms were large, simple features and very inviting. Beautiful surroundings with tables and fire pits.

The rooms are super spacious, clean and minimal. Really beautiful. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom comes with towels and soaps. The staff is really kind, they let me extend my checkout by 2hours and made me food even though the kitchen had just closed. The pool is super refreshing and the fire pits in the evening are a nice touch. Very easy to find and get to the national park.

There is a resort fee which isn’t disclosed on sites like booking.com and it is $35 per day.

    - We love the simple set up in the rooms with the pegs for hanging clothes, the spaces for bags and shoes, and the sink outside the bathroom so multiple people can get ready at the same time - The games are a hit! Bocce ball, corn hole, etc - Fire pits are really nice - We love the Adirondack chairs - Lots of cute touches like the climbing rope to hang the toilet paper!

It says Joshua Tree, but it is in Yucca Valley, but 15 miles away.

A remodeled motel given a hiker vibe. Clean up to date rooms. And coffee area with items for hikers. A decent sized pool.

Pillows were way too soft. My head flattened them. Lighting in room was insufficient and poorly placed. No in-room coffee and none available at facility except at a cost and after 7:00 am.

Aesthetic was great. Room was very large. Shower was luxurious. Mattress was very comfortable. Parking was easy.

Had to ask for toilet paper, no spares and none on the roll, no hand towels or wash rags, no cups or any glasses, only one folding chair, no coffee maker not offered in the lobby either you had to purchase it, no close restaurants, pool not heated, spa was very scum!, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor. It was expensive as well. We should have left on our second night but we couldn’t get our money back.

Location and room size was huge

So much potential but let down by poor check in experience and customer service. Official check-in time is 4pm. We turned up at 6pm and were told that our room is not ready. Went out for dinner, came back at 7.30pm and room still wasn't ready. I know it's a busy time of year but they surely must have known in advance how many rooms they will need to turn round and organise staffing levels accordingly. Got offered free breakfast the next morning. Turned up at around 8am at reception. One staff member on duty, Waited 20 minutes to be served. Eventually gave up and checked out.

Great location. Very clean and modern.

Check in time is listed at 4pm (already quite late). We arrived at 4:25, eager to nap. We were told that our room was “not quite ready”. At 5pm, we inquired again and were told again that it would be ready any minute. We did not get a room until 5:30 pm. To me, this is unacceptable, particularly given the cost of this hotel (and no accommodation or compensation was provided - we were told that the check in time was not “guaranteed”.) So don’t expect to get to check in at any reasonable time at this property. While new, the rooms are cheaply done and sparse. The ceiling fan in the bathroom had clearly not been included in the renovations as it was coated in dust and grime and groaned and wheezed - and there was no option to turn on the bathroom light without the fan.

Field station is well located and seems to have some nice amenities.

Clean but also a bit of a sterile feeling because floor is concrete. Not much you can do about that, it’s a design choice. What they can fix: 1. Check people in on time. We missed a wedding ceremony because we couldn’t get into our room until 5 pm. They offered for us to use an outside shower but we were not really interested in that to get ready for a wedding and I needed to wash and dry my hair, do makeup etc. 2. What’s the deal with no coffee? This seems cheap and they seem to want to position themselves as better than a motel but even the cheapest motels provide you with coffee. There was an online promo for free coffee tea and granola, and they told me it wasn’t for this location. Uh huh. We paid $200 a night and now another $6 plus tip for yucky drip coffee. Whatever. Talk about leaving a bad taste. 3. Maybe most important of all. I could not get a decent night’s rest. The lights outside were on all night and made it very hard to sleep, even with blackout blinds, since light seeped through sides of shade. The patio lights were very bright white LED and were right outside the room and stayed on until 5 am.

The bed was comfortable. Shower was good spray level. Room very clean.

A family with kids was staying in a room close to us, and we could hear the kids shouting and crying from early in the morning. Being a couple traveling alone, they could have placed us in a quieter room or further from the children. There was no water or even a glass to drink tap water in the room. In reception, they had a water fountain, but reception was pretty far from our room, and if you didn't have a water bottle or your own glass, you could not make use of it. They do not have a restaurant/coffee facility, but they offer coffee, tea, drinks and some food in the reception area, but the service was a bit slow, having said that the second day of my stay they were better staffed.

The building has been recently remodeled so everything is new and in pristine condition, brand new furniture, painting, windows...the bed was huge and super comfortable.

No glasses in room, no ice bucket, no coffee maker, no ice machine. We were charged more on the nightly room rate than when I reserved online. The shower pressure is horrid, I know CA is all about conservation, but he extra time it takes to get wet and rinse I'm not sure what we are saving here.

Room location in hotel, room was clean, nice patio area.

We were supposed to check in at 4 PM, but they didn't let us in until around 8 PM, which was incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, they promised a discount or breakfast, but we didn't receive either. The customer service was very disappointing.

Very cool decor and landscaping and pool were awesome. We had a poolside room that I would recommend because the view in the morning was unbelievable. The staff was very very accommodating. Very hometown feel. They were great!
