TurkeyApartment is in the basement and no windows so it is a bit dark. There are connected apartment units so be ready to hear what your neighbor is talking or doing. After 10 pm neighborhood and metro station are getting a bit scary . You may feel the need to remain cautious and aware of your surroundings while walking in the area.
Location is perfect. Just 2 minutes away from the C metro line stop (Van Siclen Ave). Time square takes 50 minutes, Union Square 35 minutes by metro. Kitchen appliances are good enough for breakfast and simple cooking. Don’t expect much. Contact person, Carlman Daniel, is helpful all the time and easy to reach when ever you need something.

ItalyThe house is somewhat neglected, it could use a little work. Some lights in the bathroom don’t work, for example. The carpet is stained in various places. Also, there isn’t a great soundproofing and even if it’s a residential neighborhood it can be quite noisy.
First of all, Carl - the owner - is very kind, helpful and responsive. When we’d arrived the flat wasn’t so clean, but as soon as I told him Carl kindly managed it: a cleaner came the following morning and got it properly cleaned. The apartment is quite big, we were a group of 3 couples and we felt very comfortable. Also, it’s close to the metro station (C line): you can reach it by walking for 3 min.

AustraliaLocation is the 2nd last stop on the subway, so 30 mins from all attractions (1hr to Manhattan). Area is very poor, would not walk the area in the dark comfortably. There are security bars on all windows except 2 bedrooms at the front??, dirty floors and bathrooms with hair on the walls and floor. Broken lights/lamps, very dark in the rooms with no lighting, exposed and broken heating vents, bugs on the ceilings and areas of the walls tapped together. Broken back door is disintegrating. Small back yard area full of junk and unusable. We wanted some space after Manhattan and cheaper, but we would not stay here again and could not recommend it at all. Did not feel safe staying here with kids.
Walking distance to the subway station, plenty of space for the family with 3 bedrooms and large kitchen with massive fridge. Owner very responsive to messages

ItalyThe cleaning and the poor artificial lighting as several lamps were not working. I suggest for both apartments some general maintenance and a deeper cleaning. The ground floor apartment did not have security bars on all the windows and one of these window was also already tampered with. The security gates on the doors could not be locked and therefore it was as if they were not there. In the apartment on the lower floor we suffered a lot from the soundproofing, in fact the walls that separated us from the neighbor were very thin and we heard every noise coming from the other side. Regarding the location, the apartment is located on the outskirts of Brooklyn and this means a considerable distance from the center of New York even if the subway near the house is useful, it takes an hour to get to Manhattan.
The apartments are spacious and are located near the subway that takes you to Manhattan without changes. The price compared to the standard prices of New York is convenient. The host gave to us answers and support when asked.

United StatesWhat I didn't like was the facility was not clean or up to par with the review or cleanliness rating on this app. I was deceived. Upon arrival, I would have moved someplace else, but this was the only place that could accommodate at the time. Very poorly lit as to try to hide all the dirt and grime. Some of the lights didn't work. The primary bedroom had bugs smashed on the ceiling, spider webs in the corners and closet, spider stuck on the ceiling. The heating elements were filthy. The sink was extremely slow draining. The list could go on however, the final straw was that we were accosted by a man who was not supposed to be on the premises but was staying with staff in the building. The rest of the property was just dirty and looked thrown together.
The only thing good about this place was it's convenience. It should be removed until the property owner can completely renovate.

We had a wonderful time at Hendrix Street. 3 min walk to C-Line. Other subways are also nearby. As described, the apartment is very large, friendly and very well equipped. The apartment with 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen was very clean! Carl was always available and extremely friendly! We felt super comfortable! Thanks!!
