The staff in the reception were extremely nice. We brought our small coton dog and they placed a water and eating bowl for our dog in our apartment. They also gave her a chewing bone. Also the included breakfast buffet was really good! It is also worth to mention that the beds are really comfortable. We would definitely like to stay at Altwernigeröder Apparthotel again.

I went with my family (husband and two kids), was very well received, room was clean and cozy. The bathroom was quite cold when we arrived, but nothing that impaired us from having an excellent time. Breakfast was very nice as well.

The place was exactly as expected, idyllic small town holiday house. It's nothing fancy, but It's right in the middle of town, close to everything. But also right on a small stream and rocks and park that kids wanted to go climbing and 'hiking' in (we visited in the summer). The toboggan and other activities were all amazing for the kids, and all very near. The staff were very accommodating and have clearly been doing this for years, thanks again for the hospitality. We will be returning when the kids are old enough to do the downhill mountain bike trails! :)

Good location near to bus and rail station and budget supermarket. Nice breakfast buffet. Having a small kitchen in my room for self-catering (the options to eat out in town are limited at times). There are lots of hiking and biking opportunities in the area. Cross-country skiing would also be good but snow is unreliable these days at this altitude.
