Feel at home in Lagun – find your kind of apartment

Very friendly welcome by the owner who was always there to help making our stay nothing but perfect. We loved everything, from the view (we stayed in the penthouse), to the pool and the possibility to jump in the ocean for a swim to the next bay. Can highly recommend the Taiwanese take away that is close by too. Last but not least, other guests were all very kind and contributing to a very relaxed stay.

Amazing location, close to the beach and restaurants, privet and relaxing

The apartment was amazing. The pool, access to the ocean, and the space were easy, accessible, and provided everything we needed and wanted. Pete is a helpful and kind host. Our family loved hanging out in the shared spaces and patio while watching the birds and looking at the sea. We had fun exploring the area and all the great beaches close by. The snorkeling was incredible. We would gladly stay there again.

This is my second review of our stay as I could not edit or add to my previous review. Since then the owner has purchased a softer bed topping which can be requested so my comments about the hard bed has been resolved. I did want to add that there is a brand new Weber BBQ which we loved. It and the BBQ utensils were so clean and it was such a nice change to be able to grill our dinner. If we ever return to Curacao "Always Sunday" would be our first choice . We love Lagun and the snorkeling there and the Lagoon Ocean property is so lovely.

Wonderful apartment, very spacious, clean and well stocked with everything you need. Perfect location to visit all of the breathtaking beaches on the west side of Curaçao and playa Lagoon was by far the best snorkeling of them all. Bonnie was an excellent host and very responsive. Don’t hesitate to book this awesome beach vacation spot!

We loved it! What an amazingly beautiful location, mere steps away from the gorgeous little beach of Playa Lagun. The views were spectacular, and we loved snorkeling in Lagun — we saw a lot of fish and the water was clear and turquoise. The place was exactly what we wanted — simple, clean, safe, comfortable and an ideal home base for exploring beaches on the west side of the island. The host was very communicative and happy to help, and we were SO glad we booked this place!

10 out of 10! Shadforth is the best host & proprietor. He cares very much about his property and if there's anything you bring to his attn, he will fix it right away. The views from your own private balcony are everything! Its peaceful & serene & you get a magical sunset every single night! Thx for a great stay! Be sure to pack plenty of strong sunscreen bc Curaçao is close to the equator and is hot & humid.

Great, modern apartment, with a reasonably well equipped kitchen, beach equipment (towels, a little cooler, a snorkel mask -- and Mrs. Pandt even brought us an umbrella upon request), and outdoor space: a lovely patio downstairs and a sprawling balcony upstairs. We didn't use the microwave/oven combo so I can't speak to it, but otherwise were able to have coffee, breakfast, and occasionally cook dinner at the apartment. Some reviews mention that there is AC only on one level -- there are now two AC's, both downstairs and upstairs, and they work well. Also, we didn't have any major problems with wi-fi (occasionally the connection drops, but this may be island infrastructure), and we were staying there over Christmas, when the resort was packed. Finally, there is now a comfortable couch downstairs in addition to rattan furniture. As far as the apartment goes, the improvements we would recommend would be adding the mosquito net to the balcony door upstairs; adding another reading lamp as there is only one right now by one side of the bed; and making sure the window can open in the upstairs bathroom. The resort is lovely and literally steps away from a pretty beach (not the prettiest sand but with the BEST snorkeling, as I have verified, having snorkelled off of many other beaches on the island). There are two restaurants within walking distance, and a small snack bar which also carries a limited number of convenience items. If you are debating whether to stay in Lagun because it seems far from Willemstad, Piscadera and other places where the action is -- do not debate for a second. Once we saw the southern beaches -- packed, manmade, and expensive -- we had no doubt that we made the right choice. None of the beaches in the south come even close to any of the gorgeous beaches (and restaurants) that will be either off your doorstep or within 3-10 minute driving distance, such as Jeremi or Grote Knip. Trust me.
