This is a great Swiss historical hotel. It has a lot of charm and character. The staff was friendly and organised. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The access to the spa in the sister hotel across the way was heavenly.

The family-run Hotel Des Alpes is located next to the Muggeseeli nature reserve in the centre of Kandersteg. All rooms have been renovated in 2010 and Wi-Fi is available for free.
