Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast included. Menu choice. A wonderful stay in a very small community.

A gorgeous walk through the town and on to the waterfront is relaxing and beautiful. WiFi was perfect and you could come and go as you please with entry at any time of day. If you were looking to stay in a quiet bedroom with one of the most comfortable beds you've ever slept in than look no further.

In fact, the history of "Slaymaker & Nichols" is interesting and should be read in advance by the guests. Located in downtown Charlottetown, this historic (circa 1857) building has maintained its period charm after being converted into a modern boutique inn. After a trying drive in the rain, we arrived too early to check in -- but that didn't matter because Kent at the Front Desk greeted us warmly and offered wonderful suggestions about where we could have a good lunch, within walking distance of the hotel. (We chose the Sea Rocket Oyster House and loved it so much that we ate three more meals there.) Kent also arranged for all our luggage to be placed in our room while we were having our meal. One more important note: This hotel is comfortable and absolutely beautiful. It has been so tastefully designed.
