The family-run Hotel Bären is located 7 km from Interlaken. It offers rustic rooms in a quiet location, Swiss specialities in the restaurant featuring a terrace, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. Everything! The proprietors, our room, the food, Gary the hostess (fantastic!!), the church bells and the views of the Alps were all incredible! The bakery, grocery store across the street was fabulous when opened. It was not opened everyday. This was a true swiss Alps village away from the city and on a vast beautiful mountain range with cows, and horses and beautiful chalets and the people! It was about 20 minutes down a windy road into Interlarken. Perfect location. We had a car but used the bus pass that the hotel gave us which was extremely helpful. We give this place a 15 out of 10 stars. It was just perfect in every way for a small village. Highly recommended

Built in typical Swiss chalet style and a 10-minute walk from the centre of Interlaken, the traditional Hotel Sonne Interlaken-Matten offers en-suite rooms with cable TV and a tea/coffee maker. Friendly staffs, good location there's a bus stop in front of the hotel, great service, love the view from the balcony. Nothing to complain. We have made good memories here in Switzerland. Thank you!
