The Mango guest house was an incredible and authentic experience in Elephantine Island. The staff, the facilities and the settings were fantastic. The staff arranged everything what we asked for: a car from Luxor, a trip to Abu Simbel, food delivery and a felucca sailing trip. It’s not for everybody, though. If you’re a 5-star hotel frequent visitor, this is not for you.

The host and his family are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds soft. Would recommend it to anyone going to Aswan!

Situato a 17 km da Aswan High Dam e 24 km da Tombs of the Nobles, King Mina Nubian House mette a disposizione camere a Aswan. The airport pickup service took us to the Nile where we boarded a private boat to the hotel as it was on Elephantine Island. I was in communication with them via WhatsApp before we arrived and they answered all my questions. Mohamed and Baki carried our 4 suitcases from the boat a short walk to the hotel and after we went to our room greeted us on the rooftop patio with hibiscus drinks. They were very friendly. The island was an unexpected surprise and although the dirt walking paths seemed odd we realized that we were in a real Nubian village. They have their own language and the island has a maze of walking paths. We used google maps to find the Aswan Museum which was a very large archeological site with great views of the Aga Khan Tomb across the Nile. We passed old woman dressed in black knitting traditional hats and had small children follow us around. After the museum we stopped at a shop and were invited into a family sitting area as we drank 3 soft drinks we ordered. Mohammed the store owner was so friendly. If you want a real Nubian Experience that really adds to your trips enjoyment I recommend King Mena. We only stayed one night as we came a day early for our Aswan to Luxor cruise and their boat even took us right to our cruise ship and helped us find it among the 20 odd ships docked 4 deep on the shore of the Nile. I recommend King Mena for the experience. The room was a triple as needed 3 beds and the bathroom was large and the water hot and Mohammed the chef proudly made a great breakfast.

The guest house si trova sull isola elefantina. La posizione è molto comoda perché si trova vicino al ferry pubblico per attraversare la riva del nilo ed inoltre a fianco si trova un mini market e due ristoranti molto carini. Se si vuole andare a vedere i templi Dell isola si possono fare 10 minuti a piedi. La guest house è molto bella, pulita e tenuta bene (la vista dal tetto è molto suggestiva): quello che vedete nelle foto è quello che trovate. Il proprietario e la sua famiglia sono persone speciali, gentili, simpatiche ed attente a ogni nostra esigenza o richiesta di informazioni. è stato molto bello parlare con loro e della loro cultura. Noi eravamo una famiglia (genitori e figlia). Per chi si ferma a dormire ad aswuan e vuole prendere contatto con la cultura Nubiana in una maniera più genuina (ma in generale per tutti quelli che si fermano ad aswuan) questa Guest house è super consigliata.

Situato a 22 km da Mausoleo di Aga Khan e 900 metri da Museo Nubiano, FADL Kato prevede camere con aria condizionata e bagno a uso esclusivo, a Aswan. L'isola elefantina è un posto fantastico dove passare giornate e serate. Molto tranquillo e con una bellissima vista sul Nilo. La guest House ha due terrazze bellissime e ahmed il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile. Il wifi funziona benissimo, caffe e te liberi come uso terrazza. Tutto perfetto!

Abu è molto disponibile e ti guida nella scelta delle escursioni. Ci sono state un po' di incomprensioni e problematiche ma tutto risolto brillantemente.

Everything was perfect, the location just a minute away the public ferry, the incredible terrace with breathtaking view over the Nile, spotless clean big room, etc. There was even a sandstorm the night before and when we arrived you couldn't see a grain of sand. Best of all is Mohammed, the owner, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had all we need. He arrange for someone to come and pick up my heavy suitcase as I was traveling alone with children, organized a really nice captain to visit the Nubian village, etc. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Vicino a Templi di Abu Simbel ad Abu Simbel, Amon guest house mette a disposizione un alloggio provvisto di giardino, noleggio auto, una zona spiaggia privata sala comune e terrazza. Il posto è magnifico in riva al lago e molto vicino ai templi. Ma la cosa migliore di questa Guest House è il proprietario con il quale abbiamo passato una serata bellissima scoprendo curiosità e abitudini dell'Egitto e di quella parte di territorio. Non è stato solo il padrone di casa ma un amico con cui ridere, scherzare. Un soggiorno che rimarrà sempre impresso nella memoria.
