That was the highlight of this travel to Egypt. The hotel itself is calm, super clean, with a comfortable room. You have to take a boat to join the hotel but it passes often and only costs 10EGP per person.

The view at the roof was exceptional! The location in elephantine is very good not to close but not to far from Aswan city, and Ahmed was very helpful and always with a smile!

The accommodation was spacious and quiet, with two large bedrooms. It's ideally located—just a short walk from the ferry (only 10 EGP per person), and close to the train station and the local bazaar. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport, and Thameer organized all our tours and even our transfer to our next accommodation in Luxor, all at very good prices. He was always available and ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and lovely rooftop dinners with a great view. The Nubian village around the guesthouse is full of charm and becomes very lively at night. The locals are warm and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommended, especially for families looking for an authentic experience and excellent hospitality. Our children loved it.

We are just staying for the night and have an early flight to catch and Abu was very helpful to us since he even let us use his boat since the public boat is still closed at 3am. Thank you so much Abu we will definitely come back and have a longer stay for the Abu Simbel and taking in the nature of Aswan

He also helped with the organization of some tours to visit Aswan. The breakfast prepared by his wife was very good and at a honest price. We really recommend to stay here!

The guesthouse is in a beautiful location, right on the water and very close to Abu Simbel. I highly recommend staying here overnight to enjoy the temples without the crowds. Adel was a gracious and charming host and made our stay super special. I made a request for dinner and breakfast to be provided ( it isn’t included ) and we were treated to an absolute feast of delicious food and a mint infusion from the mint Adel grows in his garden. We also loved the decor - colorful scenes of Egypt hand painted by Adel (he is a gifted artist).

Here's a short review of our fantastic experience: The room was amazing, with a balcony offering a stunning view of the Nile. It was not only beautiful but also spotlessly clean. Plus, the family who owns the guest house was incredibly welcoming and took great care of us, making us feel like part of their family. The location on Elephantine Island was perfect. It was a peaceful escape from the busy Aswan, and getting to the mainland was a breeze with their boat service (thanks to captain Ali). Breakfasts were delicious, featuring tasty local dishes and fresh juices. A real highlight was the Nile cruise organized by "the uncle name". It's an absolute must-do with breathtaking scenery, historical sites, and friendly guides. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Especially Ali who was always willing to take us to the opposite bank in his relaxing boat. In short, Airkela Nubian Guest House offered an authentic and delightful Egyptian experience. We're grateful to the wonderful family who made our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return!
