Situated in a peaceful area of Fira, just 500 metres from the main square, Gianna Suites provides a charming base with a traditional courtyard and outdoor pool. Gianna Suites was easily walkable from both Fira and Firostefani but was located on a side street off the other side of the main road and therefore was quiet and peaceful, with lovely views out to the sea and flatter areas of Santorini. So it was also easily walkable to those areas as well. I especially loved the little private balcony which was warm and sunny and brought refreshing air inside. The hosts were exceptionally engaging and welcoming, offering a genuine sense of hospitality and organising tour and trip arrangements with sincere helpfulness. The drivers were also very engaging and genuine. Santorini, as a whole, treats visitors with great politeness. As an older, solo traveller, I felt safe and respected. I greatly appreciated their cheerful and honest responses, and also the self-respect and respect for Santorini that they showed. I value the authenticity which greeted me.

Roulla Villa, situated just a short walk from Perissa Beach, offers an outdoor pool with hot tub facilities and weekly Greek theme nights. It was so friendly! The staff were amazing and really made it feel like a little home away from home. It felt “cosy” without being too small. By the pool everyone was chatting and it was suitable for families and couples alike.

Alex was marvellos and providet a car to the port when the taxifirm could not. The breakfast was served by the door and was a wellcooked omelet with ham and tomatoes, bread, butter and honey.
