Matraville Home Stay Tuk Lake Toba Samosir asub Tuk Tukis. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. Majutusasutusel on terrass ja tasuta eraparkla. Külalistemajas on peretoad. Our three-night stay at Matraville Homestay was a very welcome change-of-pace after jungle treks and volcano hikes in Bukit Lawang and Berestagi. Our unit was VERY large (it would have easily suited a family of four) and well-appointed with a TV, fridge, sink and kettle for use. It was also spread over two levels, with the downstairs serving as the entrance/living room area/kitchenette, and the bedroom and bathroom/separate shower area upstairs. BONUS(ES): the unit entrance featured a little patio with a table and chair where you could have an early-morning coffee or tea while facing the sunrise; the upstairs level also provided a small balcony area to take in the morning sun or evening dusk. While the room we chose was across the street from the water (a 90-second walk at most, down a couple of shallow flights of steps, and therefore didn’t provide a direct waterfront view), there are two rooms available in another portion of the property that face the water and are just steps from it. Our excellent Host, Dimmer, picked us up from the Tuk Tuk ferry landing (and can also drop you off when you depart) and will provide you with everything you might need to make your stay comfortable, including tips on places to eat or have coffee nearby and suggestions for what to do/see on Samosir Island. He will also provide scooters for daily/multi-day use for very reasonable rates.

The location, the host, the room, the balcony, everything. Walking distance to everything, on the main road but still quiet, love the quiet morning view from the balcony. They have a restaurant downstairs, good and affordable food. The best for the price.

Ruma Kaca Simanindo Bed Breakfast asub Batu Hoda rannast 2,3 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on rõdu, erarand ja aed. Rannaäärsel majutusasutusel on terrass ja tasuta eraparkla. My partner and I stayed here for two nights, and would have liked to stay two weeks if we had the time. Tio is such a lovely host as is all the staff. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us out with anything we needed. The room was super clean and comfortable, the garden is so beautiful and lovely to relax in, the food is tasty, the coffee was so so good, and the museum and grounds in general are lovely to explore and spend time in. Highly highly recommend staying here if you are anywhere around lake Toba!

Tuk Tuk'is asuv Vandu's View Guest house & Restaurant pakub istumisnurgaga majutust. Kohapeal on restoran, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Igal toal on mäevaatega terrass. The view from my hotel room is stunning, i woke up in the morning and go straight to the balcony to enjoy my morning view. The staff is good also, help if we need something. The shower room is new and work very well. The hot water also working. There is no aircon but they provide fan. Nothing much to say but I would like to recommend those who want to stay here for vacation. Very strategic and near to the bar and restaurant.

I stayed at Juma Cottages by Lake Toba, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were all incredibly humble, welcoming, and accommodating, but Intan, the receptionist, truly stood out. She is such a warm and friendly person, always going the extra mile to ensure guests are comfortable. Intan was not only knowledgeable about the local area but also gave us excellent recommendations for things to do. One thing that really impressed me was her attention to detail—Juma Cottages doesn’t have universal charging sockets, but Intan personally went out of her way to purchase converters for guests. She lent them to us, which made our stay much more convenient. That’s the kind of service that made our time there so special. The cottages themselves are set in a stunning, scenic location, with a beautiful pool right next to Lake Toba. It’s so peaceful, with the soothing sound of birds chirping during the day. Honestly, it was hard to leave the cottage because it felt so tranquil and relaxing. The food at the cottage was delicious and reasonably priced, which was a nice bonus. As a small precaution, I’d recommend carrying mosquito repellent. While I personally didn’t experience many issues with mosquitoes during my stay, there were a few around, so it’s better to be prepared. Overall, Juma Cottages provided a truly memorable stay, and Intan’s exceptional service made it even better. Her warmth, helpfulness, and care for the guests really set the place apart. I highly recommend staying here!

The location was incredible, right on the water. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Room was big and clean. The restaurant was the best! Ate breaks here everyday and dinner

Nice rooms with a view of the lake, great food at the restaurant for reasonable prices, and kayaks available for rent right off the property!

Laster Jony's asub Tuk Tukis. Aiavaatega majutusasutuses on aed, grillimisvahendid ja ühine puhkeruum. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade mägedele ja järvele. I loved this place! We had the room in front of the lake and it was just perfect :) The garden is so beautiful, the water in front is so peaceful and the family is so nice!
