Beautifully decorated and clean with an excellent, friendly, and attentive staff , great location with easy walking distance to all activities and beautiful views from the top floor. Building had generators so we still had power when power went out in the area.

Featuring a swimming pool and tropical gardens, Kijani Hotel is situated on the coast of Lamu Island, along the Indian Ocean. The décor comes with natural handmade furniture, lanterns and ornaments. Amazing stay. Wonderful style and attention on details, big room with terrace. nice swimming pool and excellent food at the restaurant. The staff is helpful and very professional. Best place in Shela.

It's also very clean. If you are looking for air conditioning and hot water, this is not the place but honestly I didn't need them during my staying. I advice this place for solo travellers. The place is very central. You find everything you need, from historical places to markets and restaurants. Joshua, the owner of the place is a very kind person, always available and committed to improve your staying.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. Mostly, I was totally relaxed and the longer O stayed, the more relaxed I became. It is very well maintained and beautifully renovated hotel in the middle of the old town of Luma. Great effort has been made to reduce its environmental footprint and it is very eco friendly.
