The owners, Leo and Wanda, couldn’t do enough to help our stay go smoothly. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

Velkým plusem byla opravdu ochota personálu a domluvení soukromého transferu, protože jsme nemohli sehnat jiného řidiče.. byl tu státní svátek.

Anuradhapura Railway Station je 4,2 km daleko.... Probably one of our favourite stays in three weeks in Sri Lanka. The host family is absolutely lovely, and probably the best breakfast we ate in all our time! Fresh eggs, coconut pancakes, fruit and juices, tea, etc. and for dinner the most incredible rice and curry spread. Really quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of town, either a quick tuktuk in to the temples or via bicycle around the lake/reservoir - our hosts organised bicycles to be delivered to the homestay within a couple of hours of requesting them, so we could go around the temples at our own pace. We just went to the free temples but there is also a paid temple pass which gets you into a couple of the bigger structures. There are so many beautiful free ones to see we elected to leave this and didn't feel like we missed out - recommend splitting them between the afternoon/evening before and early morning the following day if you only have one night like us, to avoid the worst of the heat and minimise temple fatigue! Highly recommend staying at this lovely guesthouse.

And the beds are really comfy. Note the showers are cold but that is really welcome after a hot day cycling! Super close to town and restaurants. The hosts are really helpful. And you can hire bikes from them to tour the sacred city which is a fab way to do it. Walking round the lake is also lovely with all the restaurants on the lakeside. Best value stay for our entire 5 weeks in Sri Lanka

The host picked us up from train station when we arrived late from Colombo. We easily discussed anything and he also rented us scooter and booked safari tour for us for reasonable price. The room was nice and breakfast just amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone.

Absolutely everything. Indika and his family are very nice and welcoming, helping you anytime you need, and giving good advises! Their place is just perfect! Surrounded by nature. We stayed three nights and had a very comfortable stay, with a delicious breakfast. Habanara is the perfect place to explore the area around! Plenty of things to do. Highly recommended!
