The garden is beautiful and Harsha was a gracious host. We had a delicious and very filling dinner for 1970 Rs. Harsha showed us the local native plants in the garden that they use for cooking. The location is close to Sigiriya Rock and even has a view of the rock from the dining area.

I stayed in the cottage for just one night, but I really liked the place itself, the people who welcomed me, and the room I stayed in. I arrived very late, past the check-in time, but they accommodated me without any issues. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and in the morning, I saw an iguana, a squirrel, a rabbit, and even a peacock right in front of my door. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and satisfying. It’s a wonderful place - I just wish I had more time to stay there!

Villa Hanguk is an ideal spot if you plan to explore the Dambulla area. The owner is incredibly helpful, offering assistance with scooter or tuk-tuk rentals and organizing local trips. The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!

Velmi ochotný a přátelský majitel, taktéž jeho manželka a dcera Menara. Všude nás odvezl a za velmi velmi nízkou cenu. Můžu všem jenom doporučit.

It's a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are extremely clean and the interiors are beautiful. The host family is lovely and very friendly. I was unwell when I got there, they provided me a special homemade remedy drink and I felt much better. Thank you Sanjeev, Madhu and the kids for the wonderful hospitality. Definitely must stay here. There are only 2 rooms in the establishment as of now. The balcony faces a beautiful view of nature and its walkable to the cave temple. I stayed here with my parents, my spouse and infant and it was an amazing stay. Thank you.

Hungry Lion has a great vibe and is a nice place to relax. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting us with managing our time between activities during our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with generous portions that set us up perfectly for the day. Highly recommended!

Dream Villa Sigiriya se nachází v dobré lokalitě v destinaci Sigiriya a poskytuje terasu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. We have just ended our 3 day trip to Dream Villa. The location is great being close to Sigirya Rock and local restaurants. The room we had is one of 2 within the grounds of the owners home. They are a great couple who could not have been more helpful. They organised a Safari trip where we saw lots of elephants, a guide and lift to Sigirya entrance and arranged onwards transfer. Lakmini is also a great cook. If you book try the romantic evening dinner which was very special and great value. The room was clean and comfortable and we made friends with their kitten who came to say hello a couple of times! They can also serve breakfast and tea and coffee and are very quick to respond to requests. Thoroughly recommended and excellent value.

The host and family were so welcoming, and even provided us with a safari tour. He is very skilled and we managed to always be the first ones to see the elephants as he knows the area very well. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a great bathroom and shower. The breakfast provided every morning was delicious and we sat on the porch overlooking the garden. It’s in a great location close to some lovely restaurants and a short drive from lions rock. I couldn’t recommend this Homestay enough, we really enjoyed our visit.
