The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bastimentos where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, private beach area, and... Our stay at the Lodge was fantastic. From the food to the hosts, the staff, the rooms, the setting - everything was exceptionally good!

Featuring a private beach area, water sports facilities, and a terrace, Akwaba Lodge provides accommodation in The Gap with free WiFi and sea views. Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Hostal Cay is set in Bastimentos and features a bar. The guest house has family rooms. Free WiFi is accessible to all guests, while selected rooms also offer a terrace. The staff was amazing, so friendly! It was very clean and the hostel terrace direct at the sea was amazing. Best way to see the sunset and the stars. You can book the tours (for example the zapatillo tour) directly at the hostel.
