Starting from the hallway all the way to the hotel rooms, it is very carefully decorated with authentic details. Even though you have a feeling that you're in a museum and that you're part of an old cottage, the amenities (e.g. bathroom, shower, etc.) are all upgraded and modern. The rooms are quiet, as the hotel is located in country side. The hotel staff can give a masterclass in hospitality. They are super attentive and helpful. The restaurant, which is part of the hotel offered one of the best meals we've had. Even though we didn't have a reservation (the restaurant was fully booked), they managed to accomodate us and improvise a perfect table under the tree. The chef presented us with the menu du jour and described the dishes in detail. The local wine was perfect, the food was excellent, and the desert even better. We enjoyed our stay so much, we wished we stayed longer. We will definitely be back when in that area again.
