Immaculately clean, well appointed, centrally located in old town, comfortable beds, great hot shower. The staff were super helpful and we could leave baggage with them without issue. Stunning view from our room and a generous breakfast included. This hotel was excellent value of money.

A very clean spacious room with everything you need. A giant terrace with mountain view and a hammock. Very nice and helpful hosts (Sandra, thank you once more for everything!). And what was a surprise for us - keys from a sky depot near A2 ski lift and an infrared sauna.

Location is fantastic and exterior of hotel is lovely. Beds were very comfortable. Powerful hot shower. Nice and friendly staff. The location of the hotel kind of makes up for some of the other not so great things.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staff. Also very warm and comfy. Good hot shower. I liked that there was a bar next door, plus communal facilities if needed. I also thought using a code to the room, rather than keys was so much easier! A good price for the area. Would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone wanting something basic but comfortable and good value. I wasn't sure what staying in 'Switzerland's former toughest prison' would be like, but they've done a great job at changing this use of space.

This was our second visit to possibly the most beautiful located hotel we have ever visited. Drinks on the veranda is one of life’s high points.

I was welcomed very warmheartedly, even if I was very late, dirty and undercooled (biking). The lady made sure I was ok and quickly showed me the hot shower. Rooms are not too big, but more than enough. Breakfast was very good, lots of local products and I got fresh homemade eggs, what a pleasure!
