They even assisted with resolving a matter with a shuttle service that wanted to double charge us. They are so accommodating even with the language barrier, one still feels at home. The gym was large and open 24hrs. I chose a basic room due to the great 90’s styling / architecture. The room was well appointed and I loved the late 20thC styling. I hope the hotel keeps some of these rooms and doesn’t refurbish them all, as the new rooms look bland and generic, very footballers wives. I don't speak Portuguese and he was extremely helpful and spoke fluent English with me which was a major help and relief. The porter was also extremely friendly welcoming and helpful.
