Loved the solitude, view and the helpful staff. I could feel the little island’s community spirit. Also, the staff was very helpful before our arrival explaining the ferry’s logistics.

Believe me - this farm house has been the highlight of our trip to Scotland. In the end, we never wanted to leave. It's beautifully furnished, it's how you expect a Scottish cottage to be. Everything was super clean, comfortable and all in all, a very beautiful atmosphere. We even got provided wood to make a fire. The surroundings are quiet and you have nature right in front of your door. What can I say, a dream stay! Thank you so much for maintaining such a beautiful place this well
We rented all three places on Old Kyle Fam - the barn, the cottage and the farmhouse - all were absolutely exceptional, super cosy with a fire place in each house. Bed rooms were good size and very comfy. Kitchens were nice and big for cooking group meals and completely fully equipped with everything we could have wanted -and the views over the property were lovely.
The garden was just beautiful to look out onto and because we were lucky enough to get sunshine we spent time outside too.
We loved the wood burning stove, it added to the lovely cozy atmosphere of the cottage. The panoramic view from the very spacious kitchen and the patio. There are plenty of books, puzzles and board games to keep entertained. Anything you would think of needing was already provided.
Idyllic location for venturing on the Isle of Skye. A short walk from a historic castle ruin. The cottage was very roomy with ample facilities for families large and small. It boasts a fabulous view down to the little quay. There’s natural sounds at night with unspoilt night skies.
The location had a lovely view and near the river.
Breathtaking views from the hostel.
Lovely places to explore like the nearby ruins and river walk.
Staff and volunteers were kind and friendly and gave great advice and welcoming.
Lovely pub nearby sometimes with live scottish music.
Kitchen has good appliances.
Really nice hostel vibes here, meet a lot of solo travellers and has a cosy vibe with the fireplace and boardgames.
Renatta the host was wonderful. The location was secluded and quiet with a wonderful view of the loch on a farm. The cottage was very cozy with fireplace and all necessary appliances. Rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. I can't express how wonderful Renatta was. She lives on the property and readily available to answer any questions or attend to any needs we had, such as linens and such when we needed it. She was truly a delight and I highly recommend a stay here.
