It was self catering but it was a very well equipped kitchen. The host Jackie happened to be about when we arrived and she was so welcoming. The cottage is first class, we couldn’t fault it at all. It is well situated to drive into Edinburgh town centre. Jackie has thought out everything you will need and has not scrimped on anything. We would definitely stay there again.

The size of the flat was great. The location was excellent. Easy check in and out. 7 of us stayed for one night. The hosts were very accommodating, as we arrived a bit earlier and they allowed us to check in no bother. The flat was large enough for all 7 of us with plenty space. The lounge is quite big which was handy for us. The location is excellent, 2mins walk to George st, everything on your doorstep. We had a great stay here and we will definately be back, highly recommended.

One of our better stays. Squeaky clean, with all amenities, spacious, comfortable, ample parking, great view from the living room upstairs and the deck. Dan was reasonably good with instructions albeit we had to reach out a couple of times due to some confusion while checking in. However, overall the stay was amazing. From the 1st floor living room we saw the flights going to and fro and enjoyed the view (it was not noisy for clarification). One problem I guess some of the ppl including us initially face here is that this structure has 2 separate stays- ‘the keep’ (2 bhk) and ‘the temple’ (1 bhk) and the entrance and keys for both are separate. While ‘the keep’ is modern, the temple has a very diff vibe and represents structure of the era bygone. Both are lovely though.

    Nice to have the hot tub next to the lodge. Good bed and options for heating/cooling the room. Good location, close to Edinburgh. Saw a deer, a frog, a heron and heard owls on site.

    It was private, nice touches with juice / milk in fridge etc, lighting in the pod was cool and made it super cosy, hot tub was very enjoyable and easy to use. Everything was so clean and nice. Will definitely be coming back!

    Lovely cottage and location, we had a taxi booked to go to my partners Daugher's weddng and was let down , The hosts where very accomadating and drove us in there car .. Sam and Erica are great host's and would highly reccomend to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay .. Would definitley bòok again 🙂
