Boasting garden views, Alba - Charming boutique forest view cabin with hot tub in Ballater features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 15 km from Balmoral Castle. Cabin was clean and warm. Location was good as many things to do within driving distance. Would definitely recommend it. Perfect if you're looking for somewhere to base yourself. Going up ladder for top bed good for older kids.

Offering a garden and river view, The Fiddichside Inn is located in Aberlour, 30 km from Huntly Castle and 35 km from Grantown Museum. The inn was comfortable and clean. It was great to have two bathrooms. It was the perfect place to catch up with our friends. On top of that, Gail at the pub was absolutely wonderful. She told us all about the history of the pub and chatted whisky with us right until close. It was a highlight of our trip.

Featuring a garden and views of inner courtyard, Brylach Steading is a holiday home situated in a historic building in Aberlour, 12 km from Elgin Cathedral. Beautiful spot in a really unique setting. The hosts have done an incredible job. Sharon and Kevin were very friendly and the communication was excellent. The Bothy was cozy and immaculately clean. We loved getting to enjoy the wood burning stove. The kitchen is well equipped to enjoy your own meals and the bedroom is nice and big and very comfortable. Great location just a short drive from the Moray Coast and the many (many!) distilleries in the region.

Set in Ballater and only 15 km from Balmoral Castle, Aileen - Unique tiny house with wood fired roll top bath in heart of the Cairngorms offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free... Cosy and as advertised. it was clean and well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a stay. Easy to locate, and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Great for stargazing and just to disconnect and relax in a quiet place. Everything seems handcrafted which is very twee and nice in this day and age.

Hollies retreat is a beachfront property set in Lossiemouth, 600 metres from Lossiemouth West Beach and 11 km from Elgin Cathedral. Great price and location. Would happily return.
