What we liked: The host (Dutch) was very friendly and welcoming. He picked us up from the train station, we had some interesting talks, he gave us very good tips and tricks for our journey further in Bali. As such, we came in contact with Ronnie (+62 812-3911-297) whom guided us in most of our travels in Bali. Back to the hotel; it is a small 'center parcs' with 1 main house and two smaller houses. The smaller houses host both two rooms for guests. The pool was great. The room was great! Everything was nicely decorated. It was like a small relaxing paradise.

The location was a comfortable distance from Tumpak Sewu and Goa Tetes. The breakfast was good and the staff accommodated our requests when mixing up the menu. The bed was comfy and spacious. There was a great view of Semuru from the restaurant.

Very clean and spacious townhouse. Lots of personal touches by the owner made the place feel very homely. Comfy beds and pillows. Good AC throughout. Rear terrace was an added bonus. Strategic location close to the city but away from traffic and street noise. Lots of great food nearby. Very good communication with the owner. Thanks Jane, will definitely stay again!

Mr Eko, the on ground staff is very friendly and personable, offering 2 way transport to / fro the train station, preparing the property for your stay and fulfilling request. Perfect place after a long train ride or climb at the nearby Gunung Raung objective

AC worked perfectly. Everything was very clan and we even got complimentary late checkout. The only downside was the during our stay the hotel’s restaurant was closed during dinner service.

This was absolutely the best accommodation we’ve had in our trip across Java. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We arrived late without dinner and they brought us a snack and a delicious welcome drink. We felt right at home instantly. The location is absolute perfection with a beautiful farm where all of the produce for your breakfast comes from. The house itself is impeccably decorated in a traditional-meets-modern style (for Indonesia) and the sounds of frogs and insects will lull you to sleep. Consider spending 2 full days here, it’s more than a stop over to visit Ijen Mountain. The walks through the rice fields and villages are among the best we’ve experienced. 12/10 would recommend.
