I very much enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.

We loved everything about our stay. The bungalow is much better than in the pictures. Super cozy and comfy. They also have a great terrace facing the sea. Dolin and his family are also very kind and friendly and make you feel very welcomed. We loved everything about the guest house and would surely be staying here again!

Not only was Johnny the friendliest and most welcoming host, but also a very experienced and knowledgeable guide who made our 3-day trek an absolutely unforgetteable experience and we got to see 5 Orang Utans! The architecture of room that is like the batak traditional house. Comfortable even though there is no fan or air conditional. The family room is spacious. The resort has nice landscape garden. There is a vegetable farm beside the accommodation. Have nice view of Gunung Sinabung. Although breakfast is not included, it's cafe also serves delicious western food. Like the quiet yet calming of the atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended!
